Can you help identify if SSP, edison or something else?

Hello, I am a newbie and currently in the process of getting acquainted with pearls. I would need advise if these are golden SSPs, edisons or something else? In photo the lustre seems to be very strong. Price for a pair is about 300 USD and they are at around 13mm in size.
If in case these are NOT SSPs and turns out to be edisons instead, what is a reasonable price?

I don't know but my first impression is that they are dyed.

I agree with PD, something isn't right about the pair. Way too shiny and bright. High quality GSS 13mm will cost way more than $300 per pair, more like $2000 or more.

I agree, something isn't right. The colour and lustre .. so intense. They don't look like dyed Edison but they may have improved their gold dye. Even so the lustre is so bright that they are too inexpensive for high end Edison. Could they be one of the good fakes ?

That is very bad news, if indeed these are fakes or dye jobs they pass them off as AAA quality Golden SSPs. These pearls look like they are lacquered. Unfortunately a lot of people at a local pearl market here in the Philippines sell them as golden SSPs, and many fall for it!

They might also be "shell pearls" which are artificial.
