Show Us Your Pearls In Action!!!

Thank you Charlotta and SydK!
SydK, they all work marvelously!

I have been slowly converting the ball clasps on my older strands to orbit clasps so I can more easily extend them. Wearing a silver Tahitian strand from PP on a short extender, with a Tahitian and freshwater keshi rope from Kojima, and a J. Hunter keshi pendant from Fiji.

SydK you can never go wrong with pearls! Fantastic combinations, and I am so so jealous of the linen season...We are well into the cashmire season and it’s been so grey and rainy so far...

Jeg, Kamokas are amazing, and WOW to your latest layering with silvers and freshies and that exquisite Fiji keshi pendant!!! Simply beautiful!

Some pics of me pretending it’s spring with soft colors and akoya keshis necklace (it’s my only 22inch one), one of my early creations, I love the colors on this one, I wear it mostly in summer as a bracelet but it cheers me up also on rainy autumn days ;-)

Your keshi pendant is marvelous Jeg. So pretty.
Eolian pearls, your akoya keshis are so pretty with the blue akoyas. I recently remade mine, adding only a silver copper tahitian centerpearl. It's pretty, almost monocrome but thoseblue pearls are gorgeous with the ivory keshis. I have to try some blue pearls next time I remake it.

This thread gives me major pearl envy (and my husband likes to groan whenever he sees that I'm getting ideas from all the various pearl artistry)! Massive thank you to everyone who consistently shares :D

Eolian Pearls, that strand is gorgeous!!! Those are some seriously dainty keshis and the colors are lovely.

Thanks so much, eolian, BWeaves and Charlotta!

Pretty, soft colors, eolian. I do know what you mean about the colors. I wear a lot of black in the fall and winter and the pearls change to more Tahitians.

Welcome Surfnsci! I hope you’ll start posting- the more the merrier!

Thanks Katbran! It was an early PP purchase I’ve had for a long time. It does go with everything and I need to wear it more often.

Nice subtle colors on your tincup, Lilpearl! Tin cups are so easy to wear aren’t they?!

Haven’t been taking too many pics recently. This combo is the Labradorite remake with dark Tahitians.

Soooo beautiful, jeg!

As a general question based on your lovely labradorite strand, does one need to worry about beads or spacers eventually eroding an adjacent pearl? Is it helpful to place a knot between the pearl and the spacer? I want to restring one of my strands and intersperse 2 mm gold beads, but then I worry I might damage the pearls.

Thanks SurfnSci and Charlotta! SurfnSci, hmmm, I’m probably the wrong person to ask about that since I don’t worry too much about scratching or wear. I haven’t had an issue with that, although most of my pearls I might be concerned about are knotted on strands. For your strand, I don’t think spacers will be a problem if they are smooth.

More outerwear with Tahitian and jade slice earrings and rope.

Beautiful pearls and outfits as always Jeg!

Thank you ladies for nice comments about my akoya keshis necklace, Charlotta I think the blues go so so well with silver/champagne keshis and I am sure you will come up with some wonderful new combination of your pearls!

Surfnsci I too have a few gemstone/pearls necklaces that I wear quite often and I haven’t noticed any demage to the pearls from the rondelles, I think if you store them apart there should be no problem of this kind.

Today I am wearing my blue akoya crab pendant that I got from Etsy, reminding me of summer again...sigh...wearing it with akoya/freshies earrings from Simply Adorned. Wishing everyone a lovely weekend!

Lilpearl, lovely tincup.
Jeg, such pretty colours in your Tahitians. Looks like you’ve definitely transitioned to darker coloured pearls for the wintry months.
Eolian, that crab is super cute!

JEG and eolioan, beautiful pearls.

I've worn this combo 2 days in a row. Kojima opal and Tahitian earrings, with a baroque Tahitian strand. TNT necklace from Ocean's Cove (Tahitians n tourmalines). I also wore my Sea of Cortez ring from Douglas and PP, but forgot to photograph it.

They look more colorful than that in real life. I'm wearing a storm grey Rowena dress from Woo&. The slightly greenish grey is a perfect backdrop for Tahitians, blue akoyas and white pearls, too.
