My pearls

Yay for your pearly package eolian pearls. Hopefully it arrives soon. I don't remember what you did buy except for a rainbow bracelet strand. Please do post photos of them all when they arrive.

I was looking through my pearls yesterday and remembed the first good tahitians that I bought from Pearl Paradise 2014, before that I had only bought tahitians on ebay. Mostly bracelets. It was a drop tahitian strand with beautiful colors that I got for my birthday. I still have most of those pearls. Later I found a similar strand on etsy from Wen Pearls and made a rope with it. The most colorful pearls are in this tincup.

The rest of my favorites are mostly in this mixed akoya and tahitian rope. The blue tahitians are from Pearlescence.

I did mostly use cooltoned tahitians in that rope. The more peacocky colors are in my "pelosi" strand.

I have a number of those drop tahitians as charms. In these two necklaces for example.

I did use that strand from Pearl Paradise as my good strand until I bought my rikitea strand from Cees years later in 2018 I think.

Yesterday whilst looking for another photo I found one of my old photos of the strand. I have since improved my skulls with a phone camera...

Love your new extensions! And the photos...have I ever told you how great they are?

Thank you CortezPearls. I have a magic outdoors room with a see through roof. It's facing a small mountain and doesn't get that much direct sunlight. It often has the most perfect diffused light that's hard to replicate. I have tried... It's also perfect for meals when it's hot. It's great in the winter as well, if you bring something to sit on otherwise you might freeze to a chair.

Will definitely post everything once it arrives Charlotta:) I am also curious to see all that will be there, almost two years of purchases:arms:

I have some more stretch bracelets to post that I made from my leftover pile. I try to take some photos after breakfast. I am still debating with myself about making a tincup out of that rainbow bracelet, the reason being only that I always strains my eyes. Maybe I should get something to help. Is there loupes on glasses frames? I will have to investigate. My latest circled south sea pearl orders are hopefully arriving in a week or two. One of the two is in sweden at least and I have payed the customs fee for it so that one isn't going back at least. I did buy more white circled south sea pearls from Druzydesign in order to make a maybe 19 inches long strand...but then I would have to cut up the ombre rope. Still would probably have some white south sea pearls to add to it. Decicions...those white pearls are so pretty. It's not like I can get all that many more. I have bought them all...yep I did message them and they did list the rest of them...and I did buy those. Also bought some more deep golden and some cream I think. The rope and the two deep golden south sea strand (Cees and Druzydesign). I do want to make a white one just like the deep golden one, to wear jumbled.

My three latest stretch bracelets, all of them south seas. The ombre one is a remake. It had a tahitian pearl with a bigger drillhole to hide the knot, now a carved skull.

The ombre one is made out of those two greenish golden south sea strands that I bought from Kongspearl years ago. The least green of them. I made another bracelet out of the greenest of those pearls with a carved african turquoise jasper skull.

And then I made a circled golden south sea bracelet with a carved fossil agatized coral skull. The south sea pearls are from Pearlescence and are bigger than the pearls in the other bracelets.

Beautiful pearls Charlotta and I do love the way the white and golden work with each other when placed next to each other...so I beg the question: Do you ever wear them together???

Thank you CortezPearls, I do wear those two strands together, jumbled since they are roughly the same lenght. I accually prefer when the strands don't nest properly and are a bit messy. Less formal.

QUOTE=Charlotta;n454226]Two years is a long time eolian pearls. Maybe you will get a surprise.

Ha! I was making a list of my purchases for my friend and already was surprised about some items I have forgotten about:)

Love your goldens and whites together! They have the most amazing colors and shapes and work so well together!!! Maybe possibly a neckshot?;)

Thank you eolian pearls, maybe the white pearls arrive next week and then I can take a neckshot next weekend, the deep golden and the white south sea pearls that is.
I am not surprised that you had forgotten some purchases, I would have to after two years.

I agree :) would love to see them worn this way!

Well there I was making a layout for an all white circled south sea strand, with the new south sea pearls that arrived yesterday. I didn't truly love that layout however. Proof:

The pearls are gorgeous but some were slightly more blue and others more pale custardy. And I still had that lenght of the rest of that ombre rope. What to do. I started with a layout for a 19 inches long strand with my favorite of those pearls, all mixed colorwise as well as sizewise
_20210625_152834.JPG
I kept finding pretty pearls though and it ended up being about 32 inches long

The most not circled white and deep golden south sea pearls, they were mostly smallish, got leftout. I am thinking about using them for wavestrands with the golden akoyas. I made some recently than I then took the south seas back from, for making the ombre rope. I did however like the one with the deep goldens. Maybe it will look good with white south sea pearls as well.

I'm not completely sold on the white south sea and golden akoya combination but it might just grow on me. I did promise a selfie with the deep golden south sea strand and the white one that I didn't make. I still have my good white south sea strand from Cees that works really well. I did take a photo of the new rope.

I must have taken 20 shots of this one...this one was the best one. The sharp eyed might just notice the cashmere sweater in midsummer. Well I got my second covid vaccine dose two days ago and aren't feeling all that well. I am better today but had to go home from work yesterday because I got all dizzy, warm with headache and muscleache. It's better now that I am not running around like a demented ferrett. The nurse said just normal side effects. Best to take it easy for some days.

Some photos of my new mixed sizes south sea rope. The pearls are mostly from Druzydesign.

That half green and half blue pearl is darn cute.

Lots of different colors in this one. Some pretty green as well.

I really like those white south sea pearls with the blue overtones on them.

I still have 18 south sea pearls and one pair of deep golden south sea earrings on the way. Mostly deep goldens with really defined circles. I haven't decided on what to do with them yet. Cannot have to many pretty circled pearls though. Nothing like those pearls that I bought so many years ago as bracelets. Mostly very blemished and also not the best luster. I have thrown out the worst ones. There were some hideous south sea pearls dotted with duller white spots.

Wow Charlotta. I would really love to have those pearls in front of me! I'm experiencing "pearl deprivation"...and I mean to "play" with them, let those creative juices flowing...loved your photos and to see your process :D

Thank you CortezPearls. I always enjoy watching work in progress photos even though they for some reason don't get as sharp as other photos. Must be the beading boards color that don't work with the pearls or the camera.
I get restless if I can't be creative for a while. I need some timeout from every day life. It doesn't have to be pearls. Sometimes I create flower beds, or do something with fabric or learn to cook something new. It took me about 7 tries to get some decent orange chicken. A lot of googling and some you tube watching. Then I combined the different recepies. One summer I read a very thick japanese cookbook, in english, and learnt how to make real japanese food.
