My pearls

I love the different sizes of the pearls in Dark Blob. It reminds me of my new Tahitian strand. There's something about mixed sizes of pearls that really appeals to me.

Erotochromatic!

Douglas, we need a definition. I know colorful, but I feel there's more to it than that.

Thank you Bweaves, those mixes sizes appeal to me as well. Don't know why really. Maybe it's because the eyes have something to focus on, something different. In a strand with pearls of roughly the same size and color you don't see the individually pearls as much as the strand as a whole.

I recently retook the photos of my earrings, since I deleted them all by mistake in april last year and therefore thought that I had a lot of good photos of them when I infact didn't. First tahitians, there are many of those. The list appears to be endless and then I have given away some and I know there are more that I don't use in a box for the childen to pick from when we can meet indoors again. First and in no particular order the shepherds hooks earrings Pearlescence made with a tiny white freshwater pearl instead of the Blob and some silvery green Robert Wan tahitians.

One thinks that I don't need anymore earrings...well I have three pairs coming from Pearlescence...only one tahitian though...there are also the south sea earrings, freshwater earrings and I have some akoya earrings that I never wears and therefore didn't photograph....

My south sea earrings. I start with my favorites, the bigger deep golden south sea studs from Pearlescence.

My white south sea huggies. The huggies are from Pearlescence and the south sea pearls from Pearlsociety, first they had yellow gold hooks and I generally prefer silver or white gold with all pearls except for golden south sea pearls. Them they were studs for a while. I prefer them like this.

I do have a measly stash of two pairs of freshwater earrings. I have had more and might have somewhere but these are the two I use. My colorshifting edison huggies from Pearlescence.

And my peachy pink freshwater huggies, the pearls are from Pearllunar, who don't exist on ebay or etsy anymore. Those stores had the biggest selection of colors and different overtones in freshwater pearls. I did for example get a blue lavender freshwater strand that I gave my daughter. I haven't got a photo of that one left.

This is one really nice collection of earrings Charlotta :notworthy:
Loved so many of them...but those "raisin-like" dark baroques raised some hellish admiration in me...love those crunchy baroques!

Thank you CortezPearls, those blue crinkly south sea studs are really special

My deep golden circled south sea pearls from Druzydesign arrived yesterday. They are amazing and I already made a strand out of them. I took apart the bracelet as well and rearranged them all. I also added those two circled south sea pearls that I set aside from Pearlescence. Now I have a totally gorgeous 19,5 inches long strand and a bracelet. I checked for pairs for a pair of earrings, but there were non that matched. And then I'm not that picky. I can't wait to show you all but I haven't got any photos of them yet so I sort of have to.

So exciting that you were able to make a full deep golden necklace Charlotta! Looking forward to your pictures once the time is right!

I love all your earrings, I believe one can never have enough of earrings! It’s a scientific fact:) I am especially partial to your smokey pink ones, I remember those on Wendy’s website, I was always coming back to them and I am glad I still get to see them here :)

Thank you eolian pearls. Yes I remember those smokey pink tahitian studs were on Wendys website for quite a bit, as were my blue studs and those blue crinkly south sea studs. Finally I thought that I better grab those studs up, since I never see those colors anywhere else.
I tried to get some photos of my new deep golden circled south sea strand and bracelet from Druzydesign. But the light isn't optimal. At least I have a guard for them.

Even though she appears to be fast asleep. I think that I bought quite a number of ministrands, I think 11, to get the right lenght. It always says in the description, then I add up the inches.

Some photos of my new deep golden circled south sea strand and bracelet. The pearls are from Druzydesign except for 2 of the deep golden south sea pearls and the deep golden south sea studs, they are from Pearlescence.

I am so pleased with my strand that I did buy another bunch of circled ministrands, just one deep gold, 3 white and 3 in different lighter golden colors like pistachio canary, golden green and golden cream, I think about 17,65 inches if I haven't miscalculated. I haven't decided yet about what to do with them, there are a bit over 8 inches of white pearls, maybe a bracelet. Then I also bought the other pretty ones if I want to make an ombre strand or whatever. I did recieve a ministrand of circled tahitians this week, that I forgot to photograph, this is Druzydesigns photo. They would look good with the white south sea pearls I think.

And then a reluctant selfie, the colors never gets right when I do those and the phone doesn't want to focus. And there were sun.

Forgot to add that my new strand is 19,5 inches and that the pearls are 9-11,7mm. I like pearls that are between 9-11, not to big nor to small. I don't dislike other sizes of pearls, it's just a handy size.

It looks beautiful Charlotta and really looks great against your skin. Good sized pearls too...just like the Goldilocks story ;) not too big...not too large...just perfect!

Thank you CortezPearls. I have really been into circled pearls for the longest time now. There are so many colors in them, well mostly anyway. Especially with tahitians. They can have the funniest color combinations.

The goldens look A M A Z I N G Charlotta!!!! Such a deep color and lovely shapes! And it’s wonderful to see them on your neck, I always enjoy your reluctant selfies, I vote for more of those ;-)

Thank you eolian pearls. I will try... I am really pleased with how the strand turned out. The color is so deep, yet there are some pearls even deeper than the others, I have the palest of those deep pearls in the bracelet, and the luster is amazing. I was just planning on buying 8 inches or so of white circled pearls but then the others fell into my basket all on their own....

I have made quite a collection of mixed sizes strands since I made that "pelosi" version last august after seing Incik Boncuks mixed tahitian and south sea strand from PP. Hers wasn't mixed sizes, but so beautiful that I wanted one of my own. I tried to make one out of 7-8mm pearls since I had some white and deep golden south sea pearls in that size and an order of 7-8 mm tahitians coming from Druzydesign. My attempt was garish. But I had put all of my leftover south sea pearls that I had then on my beading board along with some circled peacock tahitians from Druzydesign and the small south sea pearls. Then the cats knocked over the beading board twice and Not-husband knocked some of them into the dishwasher... All this pearl mixing did make me realise that I could indeed make such a strand but less formal of course. After stringing it I haven't moved a pearl. The pearls are mostly from Cees, Pearlescence and Druzydesign with pearls from my leftover pile thrown in and 2 vintage creamy akoyas. I love that strand.

Then I did recently combine those green tahitian drops from cmw pearls with the green akoyas from Pearlescence and made this strand that I really like. I tried am even placement first but didn't like it. I looked better with a random placement.
