My pearls

I think that the golden akoya tassel has to be Victoria, it reminds me of queen Victoria and the victorian era. The white akoya tassel with the bird Mary, it's elegant like the crown princess of denmark. The akoya and tahitian tassel will be Alexandra, it's bit more frivolous. The tahitian keshi tassel that I have yet to make will be Isabella. Thank you Bweaves.

Perfect!!!

Thank you Bernadette. I really like making tassels, it's a bit fiddly at times, but then I have a beautiful tassel when I am done. I did use up all of my vintage graduated akoyastrands, but then I didn't use them anymore. They haven't been used this much in years.

Whilst waiting for more tasselcaps I have been busy crafting away on other pearly project. I bought a fun caffeine molecule connector. Well I do drink a lot of espresso, as is no sugar or nothing. I combined it with some of those small white south sea pearls I bought from Pearlescence some years ago and made a tincup. Very light for hot sticky days. I made the lenght of the chain adaptable and added a little south sea charm. With my 9,4mm white south sea studs.

With my big green and pink tahitian studs. These studs are the only jewelry I wear if it's really hot and sticky. They are sort of baroque button, is that a things, and have enough precence to wear alone. I forgot them in the summercabin two weeks ago and missed them when we had a heatwave. I do like that circle.

I also dusted of some of my other lighter pieces and changed my lariat a bit. The lariat was one chain and a wirewrapped circled white south sea pearl in each end. I used to knot it but nearly dropped it once. So I added a jumpring a bit up on the chain to hold the chain together, added a clasp and a little south sea charm. Might get more use now.

Thank you Pattye. There were all kinds of molecules, but I liked caffeine best. Was tempted by chocolate though. Testosteron not so much.

Thank you linda.wald, I found them in a swedish webshop that supplies craftmaterial. I usually buys some silver findings like hatpins and such but they also carries beading glue and beading wire. I don't know if they ships internationally but here is the adress: www.hilmaspyssel.se. Sometimes it's difficult to find sterling silver findings in sweden but this webshop is really fast and I get my order directly in my mailbox. I think that I got my bead zapper from there as well, the bead zapper and I are not friends yet...

Well I remade other stuff as well. I don't know if you remember when I cut apart a vintage pair of silver and gemstone earrings and attatched the studpart with a topaz to some silver tahitian keshis? Those keshis I have since remade and are now used with my huggies from Pearlescence. Whilst rummaging about in my findings boxes, that needs sorting badly, I found the topaz part and rememberd those gorgeous earrings Cees recently made for Lilpearl. So I added a pair of dark tahitians to the studpart. I really like my new earrings. The tahitian pearls aren't as good as the tahitian drops in Lilpearls earrings and my topazes got some inclusions. Over all are my earrings less well made, but they are at least pretty. I have promised myself to take some goldsmithing lessons when we nolonger needs to stay 2 meters from everyone. I was thinking this autumn but maybe that's not possible. Anyway earrings.

The bottom half of those vintage earrings I long ago combined with some white freshwater keshis.

Those keshi and amethyst earrings are the ones that I made to go with my white freshwater keshi strand, the ones I got from Wen Pearls that were smelly. Well they don't smelly anymore and I recently remade those as well into an endless 29 inches long rope. With my blue baroque south sea studs from Pearlescence. I did not remember to photograph the keshi earrings with the rope...

I did change some more things...i missed my tahitian extender that I made a while ago and then remade again...it was perfect for making my multicolored tahitian strand into, not ropes exactly, but longer strands. So I made another one. It's 5,5 inches long so it's not really all that visible on the neck. When I use my bracelets that are around 8 inches the clasps are on the side of the neck more. I really like use the extender with my big multicolored tahitians that I got from Pearlescence.

When I add my rikitea strand from Cees to the mix it looks like a doubled really long rope.
_20200704_134504.jpg
I also dusted of my wirewrapped earrings I made with some vintage baroque akoyas, the one that looks a bit like grapes. I found them with some other earrings that I nolonger use...anyway I added some jumprings and now I can use them with the huggies I got from Pearlescence. Much better, I didn't like the hooks earrings they were on before. They still look a bit retro but have such a pleasing rustle.

They have a matchning pendant as well that I have attatched to a big lobster clasp. It would be great with my carkeys, but then it would surely be destroyed.

I have made quite a collection of pearl pairs to use with my huggies. Here they are, but I forgot the grapeearrings...

Thank you Bweaves. I was just playing with some white and pale gold pearls of all kinds and sizes. I am trying to make a mixed rope. I have been enjoying my creations a lot during the past week. On saturday I combined my new golden tassel Victoria, with my deep golden south sea studs and deep golden circled south sea bracelet, they are from Pearlescence.

On sunday I exchanged the tassel for my deep golden south sea strand from Cees.

On monday I combined my baroque blue south sea studs and pendant with my blue and white rope, the blue akoyas and the small white south sea pearls are from Pearlescence.

On thusday I had on my green and white rope combined with my white south sea studs, the green akoyas and the small white south sea pearls are from Pearlescence.

Today I am cleaning so no pearls but I think that I am going to combine my vintage akoya and golden south sea waverope with my deep golden south sea studs from Pearlescence. I love those studs and use them all the time. I probably haven't combined them before because I cannot find a photo of them together on my phone.

I usually combine the rope with my green south sea studs, but I want to wear the deep golden this time.

On friday I wore my newish blue and silver tahitian ombre waverope, with pearls from Pearlescence and Cees. I combined the rope with my green and pink tahitian studs from Pearlescence. Very useful those earrings. I often use those with my rikitea strand as well.

I love that rope. Today it's warm again so I am only wearing my circled tahitian and south sea bracelet. The peacock tahitians are from Druzydesign, the white south sea pearls from my leftover pile.

Gorgeous colors on those peacock pearls. Sometimes peacock tahitian pearls looks a bit muddy in direkt sun and these aren't as pretty as they otherwise are but still rather nice. Maybe it's the circled, I often see many colors in circled pearls, the light might hit all those ridges and valleys in a different way.

I did play around some with my leftover pile, well I have sorted them according to colors. Tahitians and dark in one, peach, pink and lavender in one, white, ivory and golden in another and the offensive two ginormous freshwater ripple strands, though in loose form are well away from the other pearls. Well this time I played with the pale ones. I made a 37 inches long rope made out of huge whitish baroque south sea pearls, some small white south sea pearls (Pearlescence), vintage golden and ivory akoyas, some white off-round freshwater pearls (Pearllunar), pale golden south sea pearls (Kongspearl) and some circled golden south sea pearls. Maybe I should have used a golden clasp with these pearls...

With my golden south sea ripple rope from Pearlescence. If I squint they have almost the same shade of golden.

I also had some photo help today. Catshading do increase the pearls luster in a photo. Who knew?
_20200711_152928.jpg
My leftover piles of pearls has shrunken some lately. Not many pearls are added but rather many gets removed, except for the hughish ripples, they don't look good in normal light, only in shade.
