Thank you Pearldreams, Heart and Bweaves. I think I will smash them, they aren't good for anything really since they are that ugly. Rather good findings though, I can use them for something nicer.

I remade my grey and white baroque south sea and tahitian strand. I thought it might look better with smaller white south sea pearls. Before.

I also restrung some of my other pearls. Some got new clasps. My favorite white south sea strand from Cees.

With my south sea strand from Pearlescence. I restrung that to.


I can attach pendants to the smaller strand. My golden south sea pendant from Pearlsociety.

And the goldens got restrung to as well. Deep golden south sea strand from Cees with an asortment of pendants and studs.

You are such a whirlwind of re-stringing, Charlotta! Hats off to you. I love the smaller white SS pearls with the Tahitians, and the new clasps look beautiful on the WSS strands! The golden strand is just delicious to look at...

ETA: Do you ever just gather all your pearls together and look at them all at once?! That would be amazing to see in person! I'm guessing that if you had all your pearls in one case, it would be a hefty weight to carry any distance.

Cricketbug, I do look at them all at once sometimes. Recently I bought my jewelry box with me to the summer cabin, so that I could take advantage of the great light. I took photos of most of them and made a mess on the table. Here is a photo just for you with some of the pearls in a big jumble.

I find stringing soothing, my father has a big operation coming up so I have restrung most of my pearls. Yesterday evening I restrung 3 after work, when not-husband wasn't home. In the beginning of my stringing journey I got really tired and my fingers got sore, even after one strand. It was the same with handquilting. I don't quilt much anymore since kitten is a bit wild and sometimes destroyes things. Cannot have quilts on the beds anymore.

It does look like a treasure chest. I wanted one as a child and now I have one. Very not swedish and minimalistic....

And there we have another meaning of "pearl harvest"...the harvesting of beautiful pearl findings from less than beautiful pearl hosts!

Exactly, often the price of the findings alone are more expensive than with an ugly pearl.

Picked the pearls for tomorrow. Drop tahitians, drop tahitian dangle earrings and a green tahitian enhancer. I think that I finally captured the green bands in the tahitian enhancer.
