  • Pretty in Pink Pearls

We had Jessica of Hapatime.com recently style a gem grade pink bracelet. What can I say, she's got style!

That's a very beautiful bracelet. The background, her clothes, beauty, accessories made an eye-catching picture. Personally I don't stack pearls or any other gold/metal bracelets with my watches. I know this is a trend but I am not in style, at least that kind of style. My pearls and other bracelets do not share the same wrist with my watches. I don't want other metals scratching my watches. At the same time I don't want the metals scratching the pearls. Even the watch boutique does not recommend stacking. I do stack pearl bracelets together though. Just my 2 cents.

The combination is unexpected and catching. The contrast in size, materials, original usage of the elements, I like it.

To me, the model resembles Kate (Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge) and how she wear her clothes, not a bad thing at all. I agree with Cathy; stacking pearls with the watch probably isn't good for either piece.

well, a nice plastic watch with a nice nonexpensive strand of freshwaters is what i was thinking. not a platinum or stainless steel watch with akoyas. i am liking the metal of the watch with the metallic-ness of the pearls, i think i shall do that. (right now i only wear my sterling bangle with my stainless watch, the sterling is ajoure, so scratches don't show, the stainless watch is well-loved, so scratches don't matter)

I'm with the no-scratchy crowd, but I would mix things that won't hurt each other. Kevin, great exposure!
