Mila Kunis' pearl necklace

Hello!

Has anyone seen Oz: The Great & Powerful? Mila Kunis wears an incredible rope of pearls during one scene. At first the camera is pulled back and they look like a traditional strand of rounds. But then, it's clear that they're irregular in shape. On the big screen, I thought they were nugget-shaped, but in this picture I see rings. Does anyone know what these are? I totally love that they used non-traditional-style pearls for this look!

Hi Marnie, Those look like cultured freshwater pearls, yes, with rings. Maybe 8mm or so in size? Not expensive at all, but a great look! Guess I better see that movie!

Thanks Pattye! If you see the movie, be prepared--she rips off the strand and breaks it. Very sad! Although judging from the teenage crowd last night, I bet I was the only one in the theater who cared about broken pearls.
