Blue baroque akoya

A lot of the color comes from bouncing off each other, so the double strand may look bluer because of that. However, I also noticed the smaller blue akoyas tend to have more color, as do the more bumps and curves in a pearl. I think of it as a balloon. A deflated one has lots of color, but as it expands, the color is dispersed over a larger area and thus, lightened. Of course, it's not the way it works in the pearl world, but the way I tend to see it from observation.
