Should I buy these Mikimoto earrings?

I'm going to purchase this necklace as it's on sale now and just because I want to have one MIKI...

and while i'm buying, should I buy this pair also?

it's only at 200usd... about 100usd cheaper than in Japan.

However, the description says, it's

Exclusively designed and made for in-flight sale on Korean Air by MIKIMOTO.

so I'm wondering if the luster is not as good as the ones sold at Mikimoto shops?

I am not familiar with the Mikimoto pearls for Korean Air. But I have purchased Mikimoto AAA stud earrings from a licensed retailer, and the price was just over $1200. So I doubt they would be anywhere close in quality. That said if you like the quality of the pearls you are considering, then you will probably enjoy wearing them and will not have spent a lot.

Well, what is the return policy if you purchase and don't like the jewelry? Akoya pearls are usually more lustrous when compared to the average freshwater pearl; I doubt Mikimoto would put their name on anything that wasn't a good quality, even if not AAA. Is the necklace chain sterling silver or gold? If you like the size, style and can return if you don't like, then get them.

I can’t read Korean, but the studs look very small, like 5mm. Pearls. If you think 5mm pearls are worth $200 and would wear them, go for it. Personally, I’d rather have good, larger studs than small Mikimotos.

I think it says 6-6.5mm, so they are quite small. It would be a question of if you’d wear studs of that size often enough to justify the price.

Those are very small but they look nice. It seems to come down to whether or not you actually want tiny earrings.

There's no return policy on duty free items in korea or japan.
even 1 minute after payment, they do not refund any items as it was already reported to the customs office (and we would have a receipt stamped to our passport)
Well actually, even if it was not duty free, return or exchange policy is still very strict in asia.

I always read about A, AA, AAA grades of mikimoto but it's odd how there's no such category on their Japanese website so
i'm wondering if they just sell A grade and need to request at the offline shop for better quality?
