    Well, you sound a lot like me. My profile used to say "rockhound from birth". Not much of a gem author yet, but I was hired by GIA last year to write an article on the Sinkankas Symposium. I am in my last course for getting my Graduate Gemologist diploma, but it will be a while...

    I have started giving pearl lectures. The next one is on rare pearls and the latest trends. I'm giving it in April to the GIA Alumni of Orange County, California.
