Hi,

I promised to post pictures when my baroque Tahitian strand arrives from this thread here:

Drop or circled baroque tahitian pearl strand?

I chose this strand with silver body and green/peacock overtone:

http://www.pearlparadise.com/detail.aspx?ID=2110

I tried to capture the rose overtone in the pictures but it barely came out. I am very happy with my purchase. By the way, I went to the Gem show today. I could not go to the wholesale section. The retail section's pricing was not as attractive as our online vendors here. I saw a multi-color Tahitian drop baroque strand, very nice, probably AAA. The retail price was $3400, he said he'd give me the whole sale price for $1360 and pay for the clasp in addition to that. The size is 8.13 mm to 10.3mm. PP has a AAA strand here about the same size for $500: http://www.pearlparadise.com/detail.aspx?ID=2122. It is harder to match a strand like this than a multi-color one due to uniformity.

Here are my pictures:

Those gorgeous necklaces look just STUNNING on you! Thank you for showing them "on neck" I think the color is more authentic too. Also thanks for sharing your market research. I do feel the forum member sellers have amazing prices across the board. A lovely collection----and growing!!!!

The photographs of you wearing the pearls are outstanding. Thanks for going the extra mile and showing those too. The pearls hang nicely with your lovely slender neck. I've noticed that as I've gained weight this last 18 months, my pearls are all turning into chokers! Time to reverse that trend...

Those oval pearls are so nice and plump-the best I have seen (except other P-Gers' from the exotic offering). I didn't buy any because I didn't like the shape in general-before that offering. Now I am sorry I didn't!

I agree, thanks Hanaleimom for the pics! I prefer seeing pics of the strand on necks too, and gosh, you do have such a nice slender neck. Mine look noticeably shorter on my neck, heh.

I was following your previous thread and appreciated the pics you took there of the 2 strands you were considering- helped me when I was picking mine too.

Lovely, all of them! Now I really wish I'd gotten some of those large exotics . . . .
