Well, today a vendor of natural pearls showed up at Price Scope. So is IceLover really the owner of she strands she models or just a shill of his? Creative marketing don't ya think?

In my opinion they could very well be natural pearls. I have seen a lot and handled a lot and these have the look although the photos are not close enough for me to be sure. One does need to see them from different angles and in macro photos so it is possible to enlarge them - a lot.

With you Caitlin, possible naturals for sure. If they were listed on say eBay I would definately take a punt on them even if they were listed as cultured or freshwater. I prefer my eye over any sellers. They have the funky look of naturals and the shape. Would love to see close up photos though.

If natural they are worth killing for Must go back and have a look at more photos. Just love naturals.

Dave, bugger the buyers that offered you peanuts for your naturals. You know what they are and what they are worth to you. Are you going to give us a look see at your naturals. Actually I must upload photos of mine although I do not have any certified as yet. But I have forgotten just how many strands I have now. All need to be restrung before sending to the USA for certificates and proof. Would love to own that 3 strand necklace.

    Amrita,

Although I know just how important high quality gold is to Indians I have bought small Basra spinners set into gold plated jewellery. A necklace and a pair of earrings. I just took a chance as I was sure the pearls were the real deal and they are. Pity they are not set in solid gold but maybe they consider small basra pearls as not worth worrying about.

I have them kicking around somewhere so I will try to find them and take photos of them. At first I intended to break the pieces to just gather the pearls but think they look good enough as they are and not big enough for me to worry about breaking the earrings and necklace. I will probably list them as they are and that will at least give some lucky person of owning naturals for a small price.
