Default what kind of pearl is this. found it while eating osrers

This was found while eating posters at crabby jacks. It is oval, 6cm and off white, creme in color. Trying to identify what type of pearl itis. And where we can get it looked at.

Then it is an oyster pearl.

They are fairly rare, usually about the size in the photo, and non-nacreous. So it is just a "calcium carbonate concretion".

Pearl oysters are the ones with mother of pearl shells. That is the same substance as the nacre in the pearls from such shells.

Nevertheless it is an unusual find- a great story- because finding any kind of pearl is rather rare.
