Default My Little Bug has to go!

With regret, much as I love this little bug, it has to go, as I have over-stretched myself with my recent trailer purchase.

Bought in HK in one of the shops along the "Jade" road back in 2009.

It can be worn as a pendant or a brooch, very well-made.

I have never worn it as a pendant, and have only worn it once as a brooch on a business trip. It is too small for me as a pendant and a brooch. However, it is by no means insignificant, as the UK's 20p piece next to it has an overall diameter of 21.4mm!

Why did I buy it? Impulse for certain, however, the large baroque Tahitian pearl is quite smooth, and the colours "popped" at me. And it was beautifully made, with diamond accent on its body.

Mind you, I was probably to embarrassed to walk out of the shop empty-handed the second time round, as I was mesmerised by a beautiful strand of silver-toned SSP with very smooth surfaces and big in size.

I asked the price of the necklace the first time I went into the shop, and was told a price that I thought I could afford. Too good to be true perhaps, however, I was in HK afterall, and there were bargains to be found if one looks hard enough.

I visited every shop that was opened along both sides of the street, and did not find another necklace like it. So I went back to the shop again, thinking I would and could buy it.

When I enquired about the price again, while trying the necklace on, in the hope I could bring it down a bit, the penny dropped when the price was written down on a piece of paper! Instead of 1.3k GBP, it turned out to be 13k GBP!!! DOH!!!

However, the little bug was staring at me, and I could afford it, hence it ended up in my pocket. True story!

Much as I love this little bug, it has no sentimental value. Hence it has to go via eBay again.

I trust no one minds if I post the eBay item number: 150839078656. Copy and paste the number into the eBay search field to find the listing.

    Thanks Pearl Dreams!

The pendant/brooch was not listed as I posted it on here first, and did not wish to break any rules, hence I did not add the eBay listing number afterwards.

Blooming difficult to capture the pearl's beauty on camera, and hats off those who can!

Hopefully, the other non-pearl items I have listed will sale, so that I do not have to sell the bug, as it is very cute.

The little bug did not sell, and has been saved, as I did not realise how much I could get from gold jewellery bits and pieces that I had lying around. Result!
