Clearly, the charcoal background is doing nothing to show the luster of the Macy's pearls. And Macy's will not be able to send additional photos. I'd recommend calling Pearl Paradise, as they may have items not on their website~this is almost always the case. Your budget will go further at PP, too! They are able to take more photos for you. Yes, it's my impression there can be more blemishes on golden SS. Go for pearls with high luster; it will make any little blems less noticeable. Moderate blemishing is common for all pearls, not just South Sea pearls. But there are far fewer South Sea pearls produced than freshwater, for example, so finding perfect pieces are much more difficult. The two Macy strands do show moderate (lower strands) to heavy (upper strand) blemishing.

Regarding the strand you mentioned on our site, there is an alternate view tab that does show a close up, but only one, unfortunately.

I went to a pearl show and tried on a couple of golden SS strands. I did not buy anything, but I took a few pictures.
I found that I can not wear some of very intense golden colors. But this one seems OK on my skin tone.

The chain is a 14 k gold necklace of my own. How do you describe the color of this SS pearl?


The white one is my fresh water, the golden one is in size 9-12mm?

If light gold looks better on you that's a really good thing! Light is much less expensive than dark.

I love it. I goes with your skin and with more intense shades of gold as in the chain. I like the lighter shades of the golden SS more and more as I see them worn.

This shade fits you very well, creamy gold or champagne, because deep gold strand brings too much yellow to the skin and is not as flattering as champagne strand is

I like the second photo. The color of the pendant is so beautiful. Instead, I would say $1300 17 inch 9-12MM Tahitian baroque strand is a bit higher to me. For such quality, I won't pay $1300 to buy. You definitely can find better quality pearls at lower prices by other online stores.
