Those are absolutely lovely, Red! I saw those on Kamoka's website, and had wondered where they were when they disappeared from the site. :-) It's lovely to see your closeup photos.

Red - what a great picture of the ring - there with it's 'friends'
yes, you're right, the last 2 have gone, so you really did get a great buy back in November !!

I picked up a new pendant today, made by designer T Lee of Minneapolis, MN. It combines a pear citrine I purchased from Roger Dery, a Kamoka pearl from Agustus on eBay, three brown diamonds sourced by the designer, and woven with T Lee's beautiful 24 kt gold weaving. The pearl has a reddish aura that compliments the orange of the citrine. I'm really excited about wearing this piece. Of course, the Kamoka pearl pendant looks great with my Kamoka pearl ring!
A few more photos. I'm holding one of my Kamoka earrings as well.
And, yes, I'm sure you sharp-eyed people can see my green sweater reflected in the piece.![]()
Gasp! What an incredible piece! I love it. It's so unique and shows off the beauty of the pearl so well. Thank you so much for sharing.
Wow, I've not seen that weaving before! Lovely gems all, and very exotic! I can just make out the gold wires! Thanks much for sharing!
That is some jewel Red, reminds me of something out of the 'Golden Compass'
how great to have something like that made specially for you
and yes, I can see the green sweater !

Such expert weaving and on 24k wires to boot. Love the custom design. They are lovely on you Red with that green.
That's really unique and very lovely! Love that weaving!
Thank you, Lulu, pattye, Alex, Adeline Leigh, and Katbran. 24kt gold wire weaving is a specialty of this designer, and I have been looking for the right stones/pearls/piece to get some for myself. Metal prices are high right now, but I got a nice bonus at work this year, and I'm not getting any younger. So I went for it. I'm loving wearing it. I love unique pieces that I know I won't see on anyone else.
It's great to see something new and exciting. Roger Dery gems? Kamokas? Only the best for you!Such a great design.

Ah bonusesGood on you. I'm keeping a lookout for more darlings you post; I dig the artisan look myself.
Thank you GemGeek and Adeline Leigh.
GemGeek, I thought that I would show you the one that began my love of Kamokas. I purchased this silver blue beauty from Agustus on eBay. After playing with it for a while, I combined it with a reddish purple Kasumi from Sarah at Kojima and a cream colored Maluku South Sea pearl also from Agustus. I wired it up myself on headpins.
One day I wore my creation into my favorite jewelry store and the clerk, who knows me pretty well, exclaimed on the pearls and then said, "Red, I'm pretty good at wire work myself; if you like, I will redo the wiring for you." I laughed and said, that bad, huh?So, I let her rewire the loops for me, and I'll keep working on my technique in private.
Photos show the vendor photo and description, along with my own photos of my 3-pearl pendant. I think of it as a pearly red, white, and blue pendant.
This simple pearl arrangement is based on a 4 pearl pendant that Sarah used to have listed at Kojima. This pendant has gotten more comments than any other pendant that I have owned. It is simple and striking, but what makes the difference is the quality of the pearls and their luster. Most people are not pearl experts, but they can still tell the difference.
Ooh, Red, I'm on A PG blitz today after being on the other platform all of last week.
I remember that pendant Sarah had! This is so lovely. And in terms of pearl and gem quality, you really start way up at the top. Congrats.
As for the practising of the wirework, keep it up. It'll get better. It's been six years and while I can now do pieces like those I used to buy, I still leave elaborate pieces in the hands of the experts. And I really don't think I believe in my skills to ever work with 14k gold wire. That's why I envious of Morphius, he's even started soldering, real gold, no less!
What an absolutely gorgeous pendant that is, Red! Thanks for sharing. Love it!![]()
