Yes, I thought so too, I thought either enlarged or made smaller to fit. Thanks for all the comments, I am quite thrilled by its age. Now to enlarge it so I can wear it.

It does look Edwardian with Art Nouveau influences; all of those art movements sort of overlap time-wise, so it's not surprising to see a mix of design style in pieces. I think it's a lovely ring, indeed, and great find taboot! I remember seeing it on ebay and thinking: resist, resist, resist...
