Buying Tahitian Pearl Strand

Pearl Dreams has kindly helped me decide on buying a strand of Tahitians for my first pearl purchase.

I have about $800 to spend and there are quite a few strands about in that range (mainly looking on pearl paradise)

Is there anywhere else I should look to buy them or anything in particular to look for

Penny, PP is great but there are other vendors on P-G including who carry Tahitians, including Pearls of Joy, The Pearl Outlet, Kojima Pearls and I'm sure there are others, all associated with/known to Pearl-Guide and reliable.

Remember that if you don't see exactly what you are looking for on the websites, you can phone them and ask them to email you photos of some strands to choose from that are within your range.
