    Hey Jeremy,
Not surprised this didn't miss your pearly radar.
Laurent Cartier (one of the producers of the vid) came to our farm to shoot that vid. Being a video noob though, he took heaps of footage (mostly interviews) that he couldn't use because of the wind noise. The only usable shots he got were underwater which start at 13:50. You can see Aristide untie some oysters and snatch buoy to help him to the surface. It was frustrating for us but he is planning a second trip at the end of the year to do another vid.

What a small world! It gives me that little tickle at the nape of my neck. Always great to see a new video and meet new pearl scholar/scientists!

Fascinating, the most detailed video of the nucleation process so far, as I recall.

Dr. Phillipe Cabral was here in Guaymas just last week! And we were discussing "pearl sacs" (what in the video is called "Pearl Bag")...I still remember he mentioned HOW WAS IT POSSIBLE for us to seed our Black-lips and -specially- our Rainbow-Lips because our pearl-sacs are soooo smaaall.
Oh well! You do what you do with what you've got!

Nice video and thanks for sharing Jeremy!

eek! And the world gets even smaller. eek, eek!

Oh, those SS pearl types are always bragging about the size of their gonads...for good reason, but ...

we all know its not just the size of the gonad, but what can you do with it.
