I'm undecided, sort of reminds me of something from a science fiction movie - yay or nay?

It looks strangely fascinating. But I am with you. Tron comes to my mind. Not clear what I think of it. However, the faceting is superb and it could grow on me.
Kevin,
I am with you it reminds me of the SF underwater movie The Sphere. Some of the facets seem to "dance" and refract the light as if the ring itself is underwater.
Though there is a distinct possibility, I have been reading too much SF lately.![]()

I think it looks intriguing, but I'd like to see it in person since some faceted pearls just don't pop.
I used to have a glass ring faceted like that with an aurora borealis coating I guess, absolutely loved it and wore it til it fell apart.
Actually, I LOVE it - all of it!![]()

The pearl is a rare piece of loveliness, the faceting is excellent. The ring is so edgy, truly original design. I can see it on the first finger and being used to control a bunch of electronics.
I dig it. Always enjoy a little thinking outside the box.

I love it too.
I think it's gorgeous!
Like it a lot, and feel it would be even more attractive in person than the photo shows.

SO MANY PEARLS, SO LITTLE TIME----
I have been searching on the forum explanations on how these pearls are faceted :
by the nucleus? after harvest ?
And did not find the answer. Could someone explain this process?
Thanks a lot.

I like the setting a lot, but I'd like it better if the pearl wasn't faceted. I guess I'm the lone NAY!

Momi means pearl in Hawaiian!
I'm a bit undecided. I like the idea of it..but would like to see it first hand. Curious about how the luster etc is effected by the faceting.
@cliclasp I have a Tahitian neckless with a faceted pearl between as a lock also with the nittel system I bought 28 of these pearls from the Japanese company that creates them originally ( at the moment there are Chinese who also make them and they suck )
It's really important that you have the good ones because the layer needs to be quite thick and the polishing needs to be 100% so it does not round the facets
The information I got with the pearls says there are no treatment on the pearls to make them stronger etc it did take the Company more than 20 years to get to the pearls they are now
I will make some pictures somewhere next month because I have all colors fresh and lots of Tahitian from 9 to 14 mm
Really love the pearls I have them for 6 months now and never show them to costumer because I like them myself haha
I think I might be the second 'Nay'..... looks very 'mechanical'....
I keep thinking poor pearl.....but then I haven't seen them in the flesh
would like to see some more picis of others ?
