I have been looking into the Skype thing and I think it can work. I think first thing is that you will need to make sure you have the newest version of SKYPE. They have it for Mac as well. Then on the main page you click on Skype in the upper left hand corner. When the drop down appears click on account. A page with a paddle lock will appear for a moment then a page will appear. You will see a button for group calls. You will get a 7 day free trial which will carry us through the weekend. We can have up to 9 people on at a time according to the info. There are videos about this on youtube if you have any problems. Hey this might just work.

A test run on thurs or fri seems a good idea - to synchronise both the technology and the clock!
Having a look at this has already been useful because I have spotted that my email address was spelled wrong, which may explain why some people haven't been able to find my on skype! <#redface>

We will have to do some logistics to figure a time that works for everyone on the conference call. I will use all my techie skills to organize it over here.

It's killing me to miss fri. But just confirmed all our stuff is being delivered tomorrow. About 900 c. Ft. To unpack. So I'm planning on sat. Staying over (please). Is there a schedule for Sat. And Sun? As for Skype, my computer died and I am currently confined to this iPad (hence the crummy typing), but I have Skype on it. I will be driving there and can probably help with transport to PP and airport. Getting excited in between being completely overwhelmed!!

uStream.tv is a good alternative if you have issues. It's and free and handles huge volumes of users.

I've used it dozens of times for special events and have custom templates so it runs in it's own window with chat room, and no banner ads.

The capture/upstream runs in a browser, with amazing simplicity.

I can have it running from a clickable link in under 10 mins.

Thanks Dave, It is good to have a plan B. 9 year olds are in high demand these days. I do video chat with SKYPE now but this will be the first time I've tried it for conference calls.
