    Default Some Cook Island Pearls

I thought forum members might be curious to see these Cook Island pearls, sent to me for drilling and making up this week by someone who was on the Island and bought them undrilled. They are not super mega fabo quality because she was a week or so away from the next harvest and this was all that was available, but obviously for her and her mother, who is the recipient, these are special pearls.
They do look slightly different to classic Tahitians, hard to define exactly how, but I would suggest, softer and slightly more mellow and less sharp and hard colour - although that may be because of the quality
It was nice to meet them,. however and they are just about to be on their way back to their owner
