    Default Question about imitation pearls

Hi guys I'm new here! Hope to get to know you!

Anyway, recently Jewelmer has been posting some stuff on their facebook about imitation pearls like dugong, osmenda etc but I was just wondering if you have any pictures of these imitation pearls? I really would like to know what these look like. Hope you can help!

    Hi Alamedic,

Welcome! Jewelmer's postings have interested me also! I do have some "osmena pearls" their spelling of osmenda is new to me. Linking you to another thread here http://www.pearl-guide.com/forum/pea...ea-cortez.html Please check both pages for photos-----------

The strands of pearls are natural blue akoya. The osmenas shown are also a similar beautiful silver blue color, their natural color. Also white is a natural color. As jewelmer mentioned, Osmena are actually cut from the Nautilus shell.
