    Default Quahog Pearl

I found a quahog pearl last week in a little neck clam. This is my first thread so if I repeated myself I am sorry. I would appreciate any information on this find. I went to a jewlery store in town and they said it was just a stone nothing special. Is this something I should just set in a ring????

The jewelry store is definitely wrong. It is certainly much more than a stone. It is a rare, natural pearl.

I hear they do not drill well without crumbling, so put it in a claw type setting. the shape and color are both lovely!

Sure, it's a nice pearl. Something on where and under what circumstances it was found would be of great interest.

Thanks. From the intact appearance of the pearl, it was fortunately not a clam 'bake.'
