Default Found Quahog Pearl While Eating

Hey guys, I recently bought some quahog clams to eat at home. Unexpectedly, as I was opening one of them, I found a pearl-like object. I just posted it on this forum to see if it's worth the hassle to get this appraised. Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

There's not much in the way of color there, but the shape! Is it almost round? Does it have a flat side?

Yes, excellent shape, and some new shots in indirect sunlight should give a better clue regarding the color.

    Were the quohogs eaten raw?

jshepherd: It's sort of ovally, but not very oval.
smetzler: I was going to open them to cook and while washing them, I saw this.

What color would you call it?

It's a bisque or some sort of greyish white mix.

Good size, not bad shape. Unfortunately, the ugly color reduces the value. And if you cooked it before you found it, it may not be worth much, except as a curiosity. Try selling it on eBay. You might get $150 to $300. Hope for a bidding war.

Does anyone think I should even try selling this?

If you don't want to keep it then why not try and sell it. You have nothing to lose.
