I notice that Pricescope has gotten into the pearl biz. How is that effecting Pearl-Guide?

    Hi!
Is Japster still the main pearl seller or has Pricescope gone into selling pearls?
I haven't been over there for a long time- ever since Alana told some whoppers about how she sells pearls to Jeremy and he resells them. I lost respect for her.

They'v had a pearl section for quite some time. I don't think it has affected pearl-guide. I've read through quite a bit. The discussions differ greatly from what is brought up here.

I don't think Elana posts over there. In fact, she has had a pretty rough time over there recently.

The situation is really unfortunate, and in the end it affects all online pearl dealers.

Hopefully not! But not being accessible to customers is a breach of the credit card handling rules and a breach also of the Distance Selling regulations (a European Union wide law) over here..and after a few chargebacks the credit card company should be wanting to know what is going on.

...in the end it affects all online pearl dealers. How true, Jeremy.

I couldn't resist popping over there for a quick read, although I've never been a poster there.

That affects the vendor a great deal, and it is possible to lose the ability to process transactions. The fact that it has been publicly dredged out in permanent fashion on Pricescope will definitely affect the vendor's reputation. The untold number of untruths, however, paint a negative picture of online retailers in many buyers' minds, IMHO.

That story is the true nightmare of any online shopper. Talk about destroying a customer's trust for the vendor and possibly the industry.

Sorry, I missed something, what's this about credit cards, the link seems to lead to an irrelevant post?

I just read the entire thread. It looks like Pricescope has done what Jeremy won't. Jeremy moved the entire thread to the mod board, because he did not want it 'dredged out in a permanent fashion'.The only difference is Jeremy was much kinder and moved those posts so as not to mess with her business.

No, she did finally apologize (but not after sending me about 3-4 pretty aggressive and unapologetic emails) and promised not to make false statements about our company again. That is why the thread was moved off the board and I haven't brought it up since. It has been brought up again on the PriceScope forum, but I cannot control what happens over there. I don't see what the point is discussing it here again though.
