Default Post a Picture of Your Work Table!!

I know, I know....you're tempted to clean things up, aren't you? Well, don't! Let's see what our work tables REALLY look like!

Here's my messy work station... I'll clean it up when I have out of town guest, but then it's hard to find things, ha!

Looks pretty normal to me. What is in the yellow, green and pink jars?

Those are my little tins of 14K gold findings. I love those little tins! They keep everything so tidy. I write the part number, company and cost on the tops so I can best price my items according to parts' cost.

Unfortunately, with the rising price of gold, my little tins aren't very full.

Here is a couple photos of the KOJIMA work table.
I did not clean it up at all.... it's always this orderly! ha ha!!!
We like to leave lots of room at the end of the table for play time!
THANK YOU DANA CHIT... you inspired us to clean the table!!!
It feels even better in here, especially with a little rush of blood to the head!
Cheers.. hope you all have a shiney weekend!

SARAH! I just now saw this! Haha! I love the gymnastics! Haven't we all felt that way right about in the middle of a long stringing job! Not that I would ever actually be able to DO that, good heavens above!

BTW...love the idea of using the antique printer's tray for storage..very cute!
Ginger Rogers did the exact same thing as Fred Astaire, only she did it backwards and in heels!

Sexy! So, were you serious in old posts, that you have a swing, er trapeze? in your shop?

Lisa... Yes I was serious about the trapeze.. although we never installed one in the studio.. at least not yet! Yoga and acrobatics are a great balance to the sitting at the work table/computer for me. Some times I feel like doing pearl business is just to keep me from running away with a "B" rate circus.... at least in my dreams.
Since these photos were taken, I moved the work table and positioned it just under the sky light, feels great! and thanks again.. ever since this thread began.. my work table has been a lot more orderly! I realize more and more what a "magnet" that table is.. no matter how I set up the studio, with a comfy sofa, dressing table and showcases in front of the big curtain.. when a customer arrives .. they seem to be drawn to the table, and delight in touching all the bits and pieces laying about. It's actually become a running joke around the studio.

FSU had a circus training program while I was there...one of the pre-med students I knew also took the circus-flying course as a way to balance the stress/tension of sitting still so much. Love your studio.

Not a beader—although on-line translators such as Google typically convert perlen to beads.

Rather, I string images. After some shooting tonight I took my camera off the monopod and recorded the scene. I have a tent for diffused lighting when needed, but that's less and less frequently. Shown are lights, monopod, tripod, flashlight (for the candled shots), sand (for the beach scenes!) and digital microscope with its two mountings. The workspace is directly under a roof-line window in the attic providing excellent natural light when the sun shines.

I don't have a work space. Here is a pivture of when I was putting together the bracelet I just made. 10 min. later the boxes were back in the drawer and the bead board was in the living room on the sofa table. The good thing is that the arrangement keeps it very tidy. And I guess that since I also sew, knit and occationally paint it has the potential of a true nightmare

    PS
Laughing I realized that this would probably qualify more as being my workspace:

What I do 5 days a week at the moment is write and I always go to my local café to do it. My table is the one with the yellow cloth in front. I sit in the chair that is against the wall with my portable on the table.

Ah, Steve, the workspace of a scholar, minimalist and artist (the lighting and arrangement in your photo is arresting)? What a wonderful idea for the flashlight-candling! What is the fluff? excellent for cradling the pearl and semi-light-reflecting so it lights the underneath and lateral surfaces...polyester fiberfil?

Karin, wow, super-organized and I can't believe you shut it down and clean up so fast. I think I used to be that way, hard to remember my youth, but now If I clean up I forget what I was up to.

Oh, Pattye and Dana, an inviting surface, with all of the beauty and inspiration shining in front of you... and not too much room? looks like my future, when I get one space set up.

Sarah, with her uniquely decorative gymnasts flying around, giggles!

    Truly spanning the spectrum.
