Default Gem Quality CFWPs from 3 Vendors

As a lucky owner of gem quality CFWP strands from 3 Vendors, I was asked to take some pics with the strands side by side for comparison.

Apology for the poor quality pics in advance, however, here they are

    From the top down:

    First 2 rows = PP's Nov 08 Specials - present for a friend
    Next 4 rows = 8-9mm PP's Freshadamas
Next 2 rows = Pearl of Joy Presidential Line in 9-10mm
Last 2 rows = The Pearl Outlet's Gem Fresh Line in 8-9mm

My untrained eyes cannot detect much difference between the strands except for the difference in overtone. They are all gorgeous!

Close-up of the strands, from the top:

    First row = PP's Nov 08 Specials
    Next 2 rows = PP's 8-9mm Freshadama double
Next row = TPO's 8-9mm Gem Fresh Line
    Last row = POJ's Presidential Line 9-10mm

    Hope this helps

All gorgeous. My faves? The POJ strand... if these are yours, can we see a neck shot, please?

I need to re-string the POJ strand with the diamond rondelles, as I am adding more to make it more blingy

Besides, the rondelles were in the wrong place, hence the main reason to re-string.

Here is a neck shot of the double Freshadamas with is original clasp The kinks were just newly knotted silk thread kinks, which disappeared after I gave the strand a little stretch

The TPO strand is adjustable length from 18in to 20in using a basket clasp. I had it made based on the same design in white Akoyas as listed on their site. This strand is part of my staple work wear jewellery, as the other two are a bit too grand to wear for work!

I'll take some more neck shots later, hopefully over the holiday period

The PP's Nov 08 is a present, and it's gone, so no neck shot for that one, sorry!

    the three middle rows!!

Not all pearls in these rows have the same overtone, I'd pick the best pearls in each one to build a gem-freshadama-line necklace.

That sounds like too much hard work

They look fine to me as they are to my untrained eyes

I am contemplating to use split rings to attach the pearls to the clasp, so that I can interchange with black pearls, and have 3 necklaces with one clasp: all white; all black; and one each of black and white

My poor fingers will suffer with all these stringing to do

    Thank you!

I love pearls because they are cheaper than diamonds and rubies!

Joking aside, pearls look good on me, don't know why, just do

But then, pearls look good on anyone IMHO!

    Default pearls

    Hi DK,
They look absolutely fabulous. I love the clasp that matches the earring jackets. But the double Freshadama also looks great with the current Celtic knot clasp. Enjoy them.

That sounds like a great idea to make the clasp interchangeable. Do you have to use a special plier to open the split ring each time you change the clasp?

I believe the double Freshadamas will look grander with the new clasp, as it is bigger and blinger than the current Celtic knot clasp.

I already have 5-6mm white CFWPs lined up to make a triple strand with the Celtic knot clasp, and you just gave me the idea of making a triple strand with black pearls so that they can be interchangeable with the clasp, yeah!

Yes to using split ring pliers to attach the rings, can't remember where I got mine, not expensive, under 10 USD a pair, here's one:
