They look like they have been sitting in a swimming pool for a while. The chlorine treatment. Amazon should have stuck with books.

Well... they essentially did, in all fairness. That's a marketplace entry created by The Jewelers Collection. It's no different than an eBay store, except that Amazon has its own gig beyond creating a forum for online commerce.

The Jewelers Collection is a product collection of The Corporate Marketplace, Inc., which "builds private online stores for large corporations running employee incentive and reward programs."

The know nothing about pearls and are geared towards people who know nothing about pearls. I don't even think they're lying, probably just listing whatever the supplier says.
