    Default Need a fresh eye

I've been staring at this for months and I've been asking people around me to stare at it for the same peroid of time.

Does this look pink to you? Or is it colourful because of the strong lights and a good camera? I've written to Edward Bakhash and he mentioned it's pink because of the studio lights.

I see gray-green with peacock overtones. I see pink in there, but it's not predominant. I like pink overtones, too!

Blaire has given a great description of the color. I agree the pink is an overtone. If the store owner says the strand is picking up color from the lights, take his word for it. Sounds like you are seriously enchanted by this strand! Oh yes! I understand!!

I think they have definite pink in them. I don't think the studio lights would give them a new colour, just enhance one that is already there. I'm sure they would look pink in sunlight, too. Personally, I think they are lovely!

    Hi Airdancer,

it will be very interesting to see photos of the strand once you have it. I think the predominant colours are peacock green and silver, the cherry overtones will be much lighter in reality, I think. However, the strandīs hape and overall look is very lovely! And I really hope that the overtones will be more pink than aubergine and that they are not so "discreet" as they often turn out!

    Hi Airdancer,

Just to prepare you to getting your new strand: I am sitting in a similar 'itchy' state because of a Tahitian small pendant with what I saw as an incredible cherry overtone!!!. But the trick is that in some light you CLEARLY see it (and it is not only the trick of a photographer) but in some other light - practically not. I was jumping with it from one corner of the shop to another one for an hour, was even allowed to take it out in the daylight, but still could not get how it works.

That's why just try to look at your purchase in different lights and shadows, and what's also important, - let it first rest for a couple of days on the open light, so that it regains its colour after being transported in a closed box.

As for my little pendant, I finally did not buy it, although this is still the first thing I am thinking about waking up in the morning. The colour is incredible, the luster is also very good - but 700 Euro for an 10-11 mm drop (with a blemish!) is too much, even considering the rising price on gold for the accopmanying chain...

I don't see pinks. I see mauve and subtle shading of lavendar/lilac, but no pink.
