appraisal help

Hi,
Would anyone know of a reasonably priced appraiser. The ones I have checked with want $100 to $125 which is fine if you have a $3,000 item.
Have one lonly little necklace worth $100 plus or less if I made a buying error.

That's the reasonable current rate for appraisals. An appraisal might make it easier to sell a necklace, but it probably won't get you more money for it, especially after you deduct the cost.
