Disclaimer: I'm afraid my picture-taking abilities are abysmal!! (And I can't spell 'finally')

This is a close up of a strand of baroque Tahitians as well as a single egg-shapped baroque Tahitian on a wg snake chain. Amanda from PurePearls chose the single pearl for me and I just loved it.

These are the lovely GSS baroques from Pearl Paradise. I had them shorten the strand to 16 inches and make drop earrings out of 2 of the extra pearls. These shone so gold in the sun!

These are my Freshadama strands: the top is the 18 inch 9-10mm strand, and the bottom is the 7-8mm set (earrings not pictured); my very first pearl purchase

I love how you can see the rose overtones of the 9-10mm strand against the silver of the 7-8mm strand.

These are the 9-10mm Black Freshwaters...... I find these pearls don't shine or glow as much as the Freshadamas, the colours are subdued and soft, almost 'matte'. The earrings are baroque Tahitians...... all from PearlParadise.

This pink 7-8mm pink FW bracelet and pair of earrings were fashioned from a set that were one of PearlParadise's monthly specials! They were very kind to do this for me. I'm surprised the pink is so prominent in the pic because they are softer in person, really pretty.

The top pic is of the extra pearls from my purchases that I have to play with! I have no idea what I'll do with them. The bottom pic is of FW pairs of earrings; pink (one looks more peach than pink!), lavender, black button, and white. I didn't take a pic of my white Freshadma earrings, but they are just gorgeous! Very ethereal.

Whew! That's it. I think I'm on pearl overload!

Thanks for the peek of your pearl stash

Among the extras, it is quite surprising how well the black drops and pink rounds work together. How about black drops on your pink pearl studs?

    Hi, WeeGem
thanks for the lovely photos of your collection. Nice to have a "Freshadama" collection for a start.... Be glad for the extra pearls, if one of Your others ever should be lost or harmed You can be glad to have something to exchange them with. If You feel there is no such risk, why donīt You make Yourself a pair of nice dangle earrings with a freshwater and a Tahitian like suggested?

Very nice collection! Thanks for the photos. I particularly like the single, egg-shaped Tahitian and the freshadama strands. It's also nice to see a strand of the black freshwaters.

For your left over pearls, how about a tin cup necklace made with the extras of a particular kind?

Thanks everybody! I do have an idea for the pink pearls. I'd like to string 5 each (have to pay for a couple extra) on a wg or yg chain for each of my 2 sisters and me, to symbolise us three and our 2 brothers. I'll have to wait though, maybe for Xmas presents. The others I think I'll keep just in case anything happens to any of the strands. I LOVE the Freshadamas!

Hi WeeGem, what a beautiful collection you've got! Thank you for posting pics of freshadamas with two different overtones, it's just what I've been looking for.

I wonder if freshadama with silver overtones looks just cold white? Or does it have sort of pronounced silver-grayish shades? And does it have visible orient? I am going to order stud earrings (to start with) and can't decide on the overtone... I don't really want pink or ivory overtone, but I am somewhat concerned - what if silver overtone virtually means no overtone at all? Sorry about rambling, it's really important to me )) I can't order all three types to look and choose, as I live too far away...

    Hi Eugenie,
the pearls with silver overtone do not have pronounced silver-greyish overtone, it is rather white and upon that a silvery shine - they are more harsh as the white gets more stark in itīs colour, the ones with rose overtones are softer and in my opinion the ones showing the orient better. I have pearls white/silver, however I canīt see orient on them in daylight, I have to have special lamps to detect some...

Dear Jerin, thank you so much for the explanation. I've found pictures of your pearls - the double-strand freshadamas are fabulous, orient or no orient! Well, I'll have to think twice... if only there could be more comparison pictures of freshadamas with different overtones, it might help. (Or maybe it would add to my confusion ))

I haven't seen many photos with a cream overtones ( is that more of an akoya thing ?). Rose and silver seem to be pretty popular though. I'd like to see some comparison pics too. Maybe a vendor could post one at some point.
