Did anyone guess Pearl Paradise, Los Angeles? In that case, you were right...

How can one resist when actually being offered a personal guided tour of the vault?

The last photo is of the unusual green akoya strand and what Jeremy called the best strand of FW he has ever seen.

Last photo comes with a story.

One of the ways I 'sold' the stop at PP to the family was in regard to Ida that they had supplied several pieces of jewlery to Taylor Swift. Ida is a huge fan and the prospect of meeting someone who had created anything for Taylor Swift was enough to bring her around.

When we were introduced to Hisano and I told her the story, she immidiately pulled out the same model bracelet that Taylor Swift wore in an add for Coca Cola and presented it to Ida (the knot collection from the Pearl Collective). This picture is from before Ida realized she got to keep it and not just wear it for a moment. She became so overwelmed she couldn't speak a single word for the rest of our visit.

As for me, well I didn't have any money for pearl purchases. So I left without any. How's that for back bone!!!

    What a great story.

I hope to visit the vault one day -- but I don't expect to leave empty handed!

That's part of why I hadn't planned to visit. On the upside was the fact that had I been there to buy, it would have taken all day and not just the hour I could get the family to go along with

Luck you! Even if you didn't get to buy on your visit, I am sure you added plenty to your wish list. How sweet is Hisano for giving that to your DD. Those pistachio akoyas are beautiful, but the lavender metallics are out of this world!!!

It was the kindest thing ever for Hisano to give Ida the bracelet. You should have seen the joy shining from that girl everytime she looked at her wrist. And Jeremy added a FW bracelet, knotted with blue nylon, to it! She's wearing both and it looks so good on her. Absolutely a visit she'll never forget!

The top pearl strand in the photo is white with rose overtones, didn't have time to get the colours just right.

My list is still short, sweet and completely out of reach - golden SSP and naturally white akoya. Though I finally got the two green pearls from Tuscon and will need earhooks for them.

Thank you so much for the pictures and the wonderful story. I knew it was the PP vault by the second picture, and a visit there is on my wish list as well. If, no make that when, I go, I plan on bringing a bucket of cash with me to trade for pearls.

That place is a land of enchantment. Glad you had a fun visit. Your daughter is so cute and it is good to start her on pearls early.
