    Default Fiji pearls in Tokyo

A Japanese friend hooked me up with a pearl dealer here in Tokyo.
She came with several strands of Fiji pearls, Tahitian, Burmese... her caddy was full of beautiful goodies.
We spent 4 hours in my hotel room, and I was in heaven.
These are Fijis I bought, most of which are Justin Hunter harvest from 2012. Two strands are Fijis from various farmers.
I photographed the Fijis along with my regular pearls at the Inn we are staying in Arashiyama under autumn foliage.
Hope the Fiji lovers enjoy seeing these.

Jaye- Two of my favorite things- Fiji pearls and Tokyo! I would’ve been in heaven, too. Looks like you had a fantastic time shopping. I hope you found everything you were looking for!

Always enjoy looking at Fiji pearls. Lovely choices, and thanks for the pictures of Tokyo as well.

I’m glad the ladies like the eye candy.
The Inn is Hoshinoya in Arashiyama, Kyoto. We come here often to rewind. The Fiji pearls and Ss goldens really reflect the autumn foliage beautifully.
Btw, back in Tokyo, i showed the Dealer some of my pieces from Pearl Society, and she said I got good value for them- so I am very pleased with ‘Bob’
Jeg- I must be sick, because i have asked her to look out for some more Fijis in particular colours for me, from their upcoming harvest.
    It doesn’t seem to end!

Jaye- Hmmm, I think maybe pearl addiction might qualify as a sickness. It is definitely an expensive habit. I will look forward to seeing what she is able to find! I am excited for you!!!

Ahhh, your photos are from Kyoto? I have been to Tokyo many times, but Kyoto only once a long time ago. I remember all the beautiful temples. And I do remember the gardeners raking those beautiful rock gardens.

Yes, Kyoto has changed a lot; but temples and gardens still very beautiful, though access is much more restricted. We used to be able to wander around pretty much freely. Japan is such a refined country. We love it so much.

There is a pearl auction in Tokyo next week.
I’m trying to get my friend to let me go next year; just to be a fly on the wall.
I’ll post some photos for you Jeg of upcoming Fiji harvest, if I can snag the colours I’m yearning for.
