Default I need a new jewelry box.

I need suggestions, please. I need a new jewelry box, either for pearls, or for the rest of my stuff. It doesn't have to be pretty, just sturdy. I want to be able to pull out a drawer and see all my rings, or all my earrings, or all my chokers, etc. I just don't like keeping each thing in its own box, because it's too much trouble to find what I want to wear. I was thinking of maybe the sort of thing jewelers take shows with stackable trays. Any recommendations?

BW--I hear you!! I bought the large drawer jewelry box from Sundance catalog last year which just has drawers and some side cabinets. It currently holds my pearls. It is a compromise at best. I have some drawer inserts in my closet for other things. I welcome ideas as well!

I bought some acrylics boxes a few years ago b/c I wanted to see everything too! But I've grown out of these so I'm looking for a better solution too. ...short of expanding the closet and installing built-ins!

I have one of these in black purchased a couple years ago. The photo showing bracelets are actually pockets I keep my pearls tucked in.

I thought I'd see what Etsy had to offer. These are to die for (and way outside my budget!)

Sure...it's a mess at the moment, but we're all friends, right? I love being able to place the pearls in the cubby-holes without boxing and unboxing. The back has a velvet fabric. The sides are wood. When I twirl the jewelry box, it is heavy and on bearings and I don't hear the pearls shifting around. 20170305_230702.jpg

I've had westcreekstudio's cabinet on my wishlist for years. I used to have a large jewelry armoire, but I felt having that much jewelry easily accessible to others to be unsafe. At some point I'd like to invest in a Brown jewelry safe. Right now what I do is a series of smaller jewelry boxes for jewelry that I keep locked in a file cabinet as well as some items on my dresser top. I go with vintage jewelry boxes to save on cost, most are sturdy and have those little locks that keep the lid shut. The bulk of my collection stays in a safe deposit box at the bank.

How about googling for "Jewelry trays for drawers" - that gives you quite an array of possibilities....I find those little jewelry boxes too small...

Wow MM. I've always wanted a full length mirror, too. This would kill two birds with one stone.

Oh please. My sister is still giving me grief that I got Mom's vintage Chanel handbag, even though she didn't want it.
