I've recently returned from Pearl. (yes, you heard right)

I brought back tiny tumbled amethyst.

There's some quartz to sort, but the amethyst pieces are largely free of fractures. Some clear, dreamy.

They fit nicely in the adventure vials and their smoothness is gentle near pearls and jade.

    Indeed!

This size is wonderful. It's the crystal's natural dimension. Recovery from the classification is raised greatly. Rather than a few percent of perfect terminations (which are high graded anyway) to 90% ... or more.

Even the clearest and whitest pieces have a delicate violet glow.

This batch is too tiny for drilling. Silly me, I was so focused on clear 1-3mm that I neglected to sample larger classifications, even though I was looking right at them. My brother is shipping a few lots of bigger sizes suitable for beading.

The drop one is amethyst. The heart cut one is Ametryne, amethyst citrine in one stone. Only 2 pieces of jewelleries I got with them.

I really love working with teeny tiny beads in my designs...
