Annie, that's remarkable! I love sapphires, how wonderful to have an entire bracelet of rare Montana colors ... thanks for sharing.

Cool! I've never seen a Montana sapphire anything before, and those colors look so good together.

I see them on the gem dealers site..often they seem to be a green-blue but I've not seen the orange ones. ( I don't spend a lot of time looking...I can't take the temptation) Annie - Thats a beautiful bracelet !

    Chloerfink- Very pretty pendant !

Thank you everyone for the compliments on my bracelet. I was lucky to find the bracelet at a B&M store in Montana. They had matched the gems over a winter of sorting through Rock Creek sapphires. I love Montana sapphires for a variety reasons, including that Montana is my home state.

Montana sapphires come in all colors. However, they are often a blue/green with grey. I have a pendant with the typical blue colors that I will post. I'm sorry I don't have better shots of this but hopefully you'll get the idea.

Wow! Iíve spent the entire day in this thread alone. 😍 Iíve decided 2018 is the year of jewelry (pearls and colored gems). Itís going to be a fun year! Iíd love to read up on pearls and gems before buying.... any book recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I have a few in my amazon cart but Iíd really like to flip through before buying. Everyone here seems so knowledgeable. Thanks for any recommendations. 😀

Lots of pearl book recommendations in this forum:
    http://www.pearl-guide.com/forum/for...-and-Resources

And you might want to take the "Pearlsasone" CPAA course:
    http://www.pearl-guide.com/forum/sho...ication-Course

I'm not sure what the current code is to take the course free, but if you contact Jeremy (Pearl Paradise) or Kevin (Pearls of Joy) you could ask for the code.

    What a wonderful thread!
I am not big on jewelry, HA! Especially with my lifestyle changed a lot in recent years. But I do believe in quality over quantity.

Gorgeous stones! This kind of alexandrite is a very scarce gem, when it is natural.
