Thank you so much for the sweet comments and suggestions, friends! So sorry I posted and ran, I've been getting notifications kind of sporadically and haven't been good about checking in for replies. Kalmen I like that suggestion! I haven't seen many carved peanuts so I'll keep my eyes peeled. I just want her to have something tangible to remind her that her friends are thinking of her. I've seen a few friends go through the IVF process and it's very emotional, and she's already been through a lot this year.

Dave, that heart is lovely! And I really admire your adventurousness.

Also, my adventure pearls arrived last night! What a special collection, especially knowing that Dave himself collected every pearl, amethyst, and jade in it. Thank you so much, Dave!

I'm terrible at resizing pics, I meant to make the entire photo smaller but it looks like I cropped and enlarged it instead... BWeaves they are beautifully tiny. The whole vial is maybe a little under an inch across? Full of wonderful treasures.

Thank you! I apologize for shipping late, because I really wanted to include the newer amethyst. Though tiny, the quality is extraordinary. Nearly every piece is fracture free and brilliantly violet.

The bubble jade is very, very rare. I've likely mentioned it before, but a simple google search of "botryoidal jade" results captions such as "the rarest of the rare jades". It's only found in a handful of mines on the west coast of North America and ours is the largest known source. Every piece is highly translucent with minimal inclusions and is a remarkable apple green color.

Of course, the natural pearls are windows into our world of how things grow, evolve and affected by changes in our climate.

I'm really delighted to have such loyal followers and as always, promise to provide updates on upcoming expeditions. This includes a pearl survey and collection in just a few days!!! Then, we're gearing up for a two to three month stint at the jade mine. Everyone can expect spectacular imagery and some terrific new jade finds very soon.

Meanwhile, with my leave I'll post an image of a jade ingot I've recently cut.

    RubyPearl.jpgRubyPearl2.jpg3 Pendants.jpg

Here are my 3 Treasure Pendants from Dave. I'm so enchanted by these little charmers! The "bowl" of the glass vial is about the size of a US dime, flattened rather than a true globe shape, which helps to see the contents. 2 of mine are pearl pendants, one more creams, one with lots of precious tiny "root beer" pearls. The 3rd is the special Adventurer's Treasure pendant, which contains pearls, amethyst, tiny pebbles of jade, a bit of gold flake, and a wonderfully bright, tiny ruby. I'm really a bad photographer, but included the blurred photo to show the little fire spark of that ruby. We're going to have so much fun searching for the different treasures in that pendant! THANK YOU, Dave ... this is a brilliant idea

Though tiny, each of the pieces are their rawest purity.

Tiny naturals at their most lustrous and translucent stages. Most have effervescent patterns. The amethyst is near flawless at that classification, 1-3mm. It's not available for sale. Screening it from the tailing piles is hard work while washing, sorting and grading takes a lot of time, but the result is spectacular.

The jade is rare, ancient botryoidal nephrite. It's purported to be the rarest of the rare jades, having occurrences in only a handful locations.

    They're fun!

My partner has been carving some pieces. Whales tails, stingrays. seahorses etc. He tends to give them away before getting photos, but occasionally captures one or two.

Slowly, but surely we've become more intricate.
