I love this expression on Tatsu's face, the head tilts always get me and that is almost enough fur for a new pup!!! They are always so much "Shiner" after a couple of brushings, if that even makes sense? Thank You for the pic a great way to start my weekend

In a few weeks I get to house sit for a Shiba. I am really excited, though I must admit I did not have shedding when I was a dog guardian (just many many many trips to the groomer) but this adventure coming up I will NOT be wearing my signature black clothing. LOL

You know we had the same issue with Sadie. She's always had the separation anxiety (we were a good match in that respect) but it got worse when we had to leave on very rare short trips, she usually always went everywhere with me too. Even if someone she liked well would come Dog sit for us, she'd wait by the door and never settle down or eat. We observed my anxiety would go into overdrive too .

I often wonder what is going on in their heads...do they feel like they are being abandoned, or are they more worried they aren't able to keep an eye on us .

She knows my suitcases and flips out when she sees them...crazy thing is I almost always bring her with me when I travel.

The neighbor's cat came into my kitchen the other day...he kept looking around and meowing for Sadie (I'm guessing). Funny thing is when she was alive he'd always run away from her...she adored him and would whine to go to his house, I snapped one pic of them sunning together though not side by side. Another time I snapped a pic of them looking at a Raccoon together, I suspect they had their own little relationship I was not aware of. They were pretty much around each other everyday. I swear the kitty still looks for her. My neighbor said for several weeks he'd meow and meow frantically looking around for Sadie after she passed. We didn't think about how he might be impacted by her not being around, so now we let him come into the house smell around some of her toys (that I still have not parted with just yet) and explore.

Awe, how sweet and sad about the kitty. Animals do go through a mourning stage, which many people don't know. It touches me to read how this little kitty was looking for his friend and realized she wasn't around. Some animals are very sensitive and perhaps, that is why we love them so much.

Not wearing black is a good idea, as well has a few roller lint brushes. I hope you have a great time with the shiba sitting.

Amti - wow...now that's a lot of fur/hair !! After our dear old Rottie passed away many years ago, I said 'no more shedding!" That's when I switched to Schnauzers ! I traded the shedding for trips to the dog groomer. But that's ok !

Right side up. I think I want this to be my next dog, I've become very fond of them :-)...we'll see. I've also missed having a cat so who knows?

Here is my Jack Russell, Ziggy. She is a loveable, shedding, lap dog.
