Aloha!
I've been lurking, and now I am a new and much more educated member. Wow! So many things to learn about and fall in love with. I am on the Big Island of Hawaii and have had Tahitian students and therefore pearls around for a while, but now I am actively seeking them, as well as some of the other amazing pearls I've discovered through this site. Right now I am incorporating them into necklace designs, but I see full strands on the horizon. Already got some of Josh's through Druzydesigns, and am lusting over more. Here are 2 necklaces I made with the Kamoka pearls. The one with the black diamonds literally sold right off my neck the day I wore it in public to the local farmer's market. The other one I just finished. It (the ruby) has a pearl that looks half blue/silver and half darker green tones, and all kinds of other colors. Trying to figure out the photography. Very excited to join and hope to keep my shirt over the next few months!

Welcome! You've made some very nice necklaces. Can't wait to see more! If you can keep selling them off your neck (if you can bear to part with them) maybe you can keep your pearl purchasing power high. ;-)

Welcome! Staying solvent might be a bit of a problem here, though!

Welcome! I agree with Blaire (GemGeek) that staying in buying order might get hard!

I'm ready for that. At least I'll be in good company, and be understood.

Ha! Famous last words.... none of us is quite prepared for where this will forum might take us... I'm already trying to work out how to get to Tuscon next year, to Mexico for a harvest, and to Lombok for some SS's... and that's before I start to actually buy the pearls..

Hi Waimeamomi

Very nice work. Do you have a website? If you do, you can list it under your signature. If not, please keep putting up photos. Be sure to photo everything before it leaves your hands.

Thanks Caitlin. I don't have a site right now, although I had one. It was with a company that made it very expensive to maintain. Anyone have any suggestions on a good and easy way to make a site? I'm also fooling around with the photo thing. The pearl on the diamond necklace was much prettier with really pretty color that seems to be in all of Josh's wonderful pearls.
