Me, too! So pretty!
I had two 18" strands restrung a few years ago at a local jewelry store. I don't recall the exact price, but it was by the inch. It couldn't have been too much or I wouldn't have done it.
I had a...
I see my new little friend, too!
OK, who's having a birthday? I wish it was me!
I desperately want a pearl extender like that! May I ask where ... ?
Is there a topic here for recommended vendors, and suspicious vendors? The way the 'net has exploded, there are so many pearl stores online and it's difficult to know which are reputable. I know to...
Since you don't normally reach for Akoyas, if you change your mind about them, I'll be happy to reach for them and take them off your conscience. Because I like to be helpful. ;)

Out of curiosity, what is the best way to keep pearls hydrated?
It's not only QVC; I've seen Wish Pearls at JCPenney and tourist-y gift shop places. Sometimes, grandmothers don't know what to buy young girls.
Ah! Thank you!
I've been poking around trying to figure out where to ask my question ... this seems as good a place as any ...
I've been looking at pearl pendants. Some of them are half-drilled, with the bail at...
This thread has been educational from a scientific standpoint, but it ruins the romance of pearls. I think anyone who is in the business of selling pearls should probably avoid discussions of...
That's what I thought, too. Especially the first photo.
Thank you all for the responses, it's very helpful.
Is that true? I didn't know that ... is there a secret to making Akoyas last longer? I'd be upset if I spent money on a strand of pearls that didn't last a lifetime...
I'm new to this forum --...
