Wow! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.
Linda.
Thanks for your lovely pictures Cathy. I can never, ever tire of looking at these photos. When I first discovered this forum, I almost went blind .... and then I went broke.
Chuckle. But no...
That looks like a really gorgeous strand. The colours and lustre are great. The "imperfections" look minor and normal to me. And lastly, the shape of the pearls are wonderful.
Well done!
Linda.
Very, very nice. Normally I wouldn't be too keen on spacers, but those gold ones look lovely with the colour of those pearls. Well done!
Yes Diane; I think Robert Wan is a good comparison. But, you will pay top price for Robert Wan pearls.
I bet you could get pearls just as nice as Robert Wan pearls from a different vendor (one of...
Naria: you have bought yourself a very, very lovely necklace. Well done.
Linda.
Haha! Kevin; yes, fair enough. British Columbian men on islands are excluded from my previous post.
Linda.
That is beautiful Kevin. I think it would be more popular for women though (unfortunately).
I am speaking only for my area; Lower Mainland BC. The men here are like Wendy's Brits.
Linda.
Wow FuzzySocks: great photos. Thank you for posting them.
Linda.
Hello Petra: the photos are a bit too "far away" for us to see clearly. If your camera has a "flower" setting, maybe you can take a photo closer to the pearls.
Most pearls have some type of...
Hello Skyman:
It may seem to you that we are pushing one Vendor on you, (Pearl Paradise), but that is only because we have met the proprietor in person, and have bought his pearls. The prices and...
Hello LitGeek: Thank you for the complements. My strand has graduated pearls, and I think the biggest (in front) are about 11mm, maybe a bit more. The neck shot shows a lot of bright colour, but it...
Hello Mags: If PearlParadise doesn't have what you want on its site, just send them an email. They can probably provide accommodate you, including sending you a photo. Have fun! Tahitians are...
Wow Red! Look at that lustre; I can see your hand & camera. They are very nice and deep colour ... almost orange in there. Well done, well done.
Linda.
Wendy gives some good advice regarding what to wear with the pearls. I also felt a bit nervous wearing my strand .... I wanted to wear it (a baroque tahitian strand) with casual clothes like jeans...
I'm with Urchin; I'd get the larger pearls. They won't be huge, but they'll be awesome. :-)
Welcome to Pearl-Guide. This is a great place to learn, and get even more addicted .... and maybe in...
Caitlin; I'm sad to see you so upset. It is a simple misunderstanding really. And besides, perhaps Dave only meant that his time is done with regards to that particular thread. It doesn't mean...
Little fuzz socks, Dizzie, Ivona, Wallace; thank you all for your pictures too. They are all beautiful pearls. Those cherry pearls of yours Fuzzy, they are quite exceptional. Whew!

I like this idea of photo comparisons. I agree that usually the vendor photo looks a little more colourful than the real thing, but I also agree that vendors usually are the most...
Caitlin! Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! Have you another photo or neck shot of that strand?
Linda.
I would imagine that "pain" or some such thing might be one of the first neural sensations to evolve .... causing withdrawal or "running away", protecting the organism from dangerous stuff. I'll bet...
I bought some really cool keshi earrings from Sarah at Kojima. I think she has a thing for keshis. :-)
Linda.
Thank you Fuzz and Marianne. :-)
Hello pearl friends. I have just returned from a trip in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Laos. While in HaLong bay, on a boat, some pearls were brought out. They were presented as pearls grown in the...
Pfft! You got me all excited when I saw that header; "Big Order". :-)
