If you have perhaps you can answer my questions.
The photos look nice but are the pearls you receive from them as nice in person? Did they hold up well?

Also whats your experience been with Stachura? I know they aren't on ebay but I've been browsing the web site a lot lately.

Casey: Just when I was ready to stop drinking coffee and playing on the computer, I saw your post! Ok, this one last thing then I'm turning this off!

Stauchura: love them! Mary and Ellie are very helpful. I really do think their prices are very reasonable. I've purchased mostly pearls from them, but the rare sundry item as well. Pearl purchases are SSP and freshwaters. I haven't bought akoyas or tahitians. They just initiated a 30% restocking charge. They will send you positively HUGE photos on request. So much so, there's not a dimple or blemish that you can't see before you purchase.

As far as their grading is concerned, use your best judgment. They don't grade on the A, AA, AAA system. They use verbal descriptions. I bought the Mother's Day special from Pearl Paradise in AA quality and I've wanted to purchase some of those wonderful freshwaters Stauchura has for comparison/grading translation purposes. But my funds are far too tight.

They are constantly upgrading their stock. The freshwaters you see on their site now weren't there 5 years ago. If something looks like what you want, but the quality looks a bit off, hold off buying. They will eventually stock precisely what you're looking for. Patience is on your side.

Pearllunar: Haven't purchased from them, but I think Ivonna has.

Hello Casey,
I have bought from Pearllunar and been very happy with everything.
I've bought freshwater pearl strands for beading; rice pearls, off-rounds in white and multi-colours.
The pearls have all been pretty much as pictured on ebay. I haven't been disappointed with anything from them.
The best purchase was a couple of strands of 3-4mm. lavender with green overtones.
These have amazing lustre and colours.
I haven't any experience of Stachura.

Hi, Casey

I bought a set from Pearllunar earlier this year. If you go to my earrings page, the very last pair on the bottom row is from them - awesome color. Their descriptions are not the best - their round is actually off round and their AAAA is random letter grouping, but in my experience the item you buy is the actual item pictured, and their photos are large and clear so you can get a good idea of whether or not the item is something you might be interested in. I got what I paid for and in a reasonable time frame - I am very happy both with the product I received and ther reliability as a seller. I think they have a ridiculous restocking fee or somesuch, so while they will accept returns, it is costly.

Their English is not the best, but it is good enough, and we had a fairly extensive email correspondence to specify exactly what I wanted (I had them extend a necklace from 18" to 20", and added the earrings).

I am pretty sure the pink teardrop earrings in the top row are from them also.

I have made a number of purchases from Pearllunar, and have been very happy with everything. I try to get multiple items at once, as the shipping isn't cheap. Their communication has been good, and I was able to bargain down quite a bit on the "buy it now" items. I highly recommend them. Look out especially for the "mirror luster" items...very, very nice!

Pearllunar sounds like it may be a winner. I like that you can haggle with them.

Oh, yes, I forgot that bit.
On many of their "buy-it-now" items you can "make an offer".
I've used this facility myself.

I've never purchased on e-bay. Tell me, I see a Pearllunar and a Pearlluna. Is this different sides of the same coin or two entirely different entities?

Hello Knotty,
It's one and the same seller.
I think Pearllunar is the ebay i.d., and Pearlluna is the ebay shop i.d.
Hope that makes sense...

Sueki - I have been eyeing those greedily, but I am *so* broke at the moment. It is wonderful to see the lovely blues and greys out there...

I agree with Boo. Buy from perllunar using pictures not the description. This is how I did it few times and I was always happy. You get EXACTLY item from the picture. And "mirror luster" pearls are beautiful !!
Stahure: I tried them twice and twice was disappointed. Description is far better that what you get and pictures are not of exact strand / pearl, but of whole group of items under given description. Their pictures were better ( in my experience) than merchandise I received....

Ivona: You can always ask Stachura to send you detailed, huge pictures, of your strands before you purchase. They are great on customer service. Did you send your disappointments back?

Waiting to get these in the mail. Hopefully I won't be disappointed. Lovely colors, and it would make a nice set with the salmon pink rice pearl strand I got off Cathy.
