I am even more confused. I saw a pearllunar-pearls only and a pearlluna and something in French. None of them looks like Kevin's perluna, but it looks like there are several stores. the one in French especially had some really nice dark violet colors. Now I am going to have to spend some money............
but not until tomorrow. I need a break!

Here are the before and after photos of what I happily purchased from Pearllunar's ebay site:

This necklace was more of a peach in person, but it wanted to photograph as a gold color, so that wasn't their fault. In fact, I had a hard time trying to show what it looks like in person. The lustre was unusual, beautiful and well-matched.

Day photos would be better. The earrings are absolutely identical to their photo. I lost one in the house already - bummer.

The pink necklace was $9.99!

I purchased these from Pearllunar and I'm using their photos so you can see that their pearls are nice. Under the circumstances, I doubt they would mind. I don't know if they are affiliated with the other website.

I asked about the darker colored pearls in their listings because some look very dark coiled up, but pastel on the neck-form photos. They said that they come out darker coiled and to use the other photo for darkness. I'd love some dark lavenders, but I doubt you'll find them there. If there is only one photo - ask.

They were very easy to communicate with through email.

How big is the pink strand? It does look lovely!

I'm just waiting on my rice pearls in the mail. Can't bear the suspense. Doubt I'll get it till next week though. Will keep you posted. I'm considering a graduated white strand but it's only 3-6 mm with a 8.5 mm center piece. I was going to get a freshadama graduated strand like the one Jeremy made (6-10 mm) if this one works out well. Wondering if a larger center piece e.g. 12 mm like the one someone photoshopped would work on me. I don't even know if Jeremy has large freshadama pearls in stock! Might have a wait a bit. But I digress. How did I jump from pearllunar to pearlparadise?

The pinks are 7mm and cute.

I also got a graduated strand. I think I have seven items coming in the mail any day now. This is silly since I buy so many pearls for my business, but because they are finished, I can easily sell them if I don't want to keep them.

Let's compare photos after they arrive!!!

Hi Knotty,
Yes, I bought the white rice pearls in unfinished strands. And they are as nice as in the photo.

I'll have to examine my rice pearls and photograph them in daylight. I'd say for the price they cannot be beat. Value for money, but some of the hues are not as saturated as I'd like. Or perhaps I'm too pampered by the untreated freshwater baroques Jeremy had so I was expecting extremely dark colors. The size looks a little smaller than stated. I'll keep you guys posted.

Raisondetre--

I'll be interested in anything else you have to say about the items you received from Pearllunar. I saw a few things I liked when I looked at their pearls.

Also, anyone in the USA who bought from them, how long does shipping take? I've never purchased anything from China.

Can they communicate in English, in case there is a problem with the order?

Hi Pearl_dreams,
Although I'm in the U.K. and not the U.S. the items took around 7 - 10 days to get here.
Pearllunar communicate very well in English.

They communicate VERY WELL in English. Shipping = 2-3 weeks
Be careful with one thing. Last purchase I made with them was in September. Package never arrived. Pearlluna informed me tat they got informed that package is being returned to them and it might take UP TO 5 MONTH for them to get it back and ship it again to me ( they offer to share the cost of second shipping). If I want money back immediately - they will be happy to pay it back - minus shipping cost, minus 15% "restocking fee". I declined the offer - and I'll wait, but I'm not buying there anymore. Try also :http://stores.ebay.ca/id=198888563&s...TRK:MEFS:MESST. They have similar merchandise. I bought from them few times. Pearls were always as I expected them to be for the price. Their 9-10mm multicolor natural round pearls @ 140$ were not worse than Pearluna's ones that I paid 350$ for.....

Just for comparison, here are the items I bought. The luster cannot be beat, and there is mild variation in size, but overall I am happy they are about 8.5-9mm long. I'm a bit obsessed with big pearls at the moment, and just a small difference in size does make a huge visual difference. The luster for the white pearls is just a tad less, but it is still quite lovely. The pink ones are from Catherine who also posts here on the boards. I still prefer the hues on that one. I guess I'm just too picky. The strands I got were $30 + $15.99 shipping and insurance on best offer. Shipping took about 15 days and it was by registered mail. The conclusion would be they are good for inexpensive purchases - off-rounds and rice pearls etc with very good luster, but for high grade pearls I would rather pay and get the known quality control I've been getting from Jeremy and Terry.

Wow, thanks for all the replies and the great photos! I will need to think about this some more. The prices are good (especially since they invite best offers), but I'd be upset if the pearls never arrived! I do love freshwater pearls and don't mind off-round shapes, especially when the luster is good. I might risk it with some lavender ones.

Thanks also for the link to apex's pearls. I'm going to look them over later on this evening, after I've fed my family.
