| Only for those going upside down financially. I would bet there are others here who can attest that there are people who are actually addicted to pearls. I have a friend who owns a couple of shops. He tells me about customers who can't get enough. Any windfall is an excuse for another pearl. LOL Some of them probably visit this site. ![]() |

| Mikeyy hit it perfectly for me. I'm the family accountant. I have to get everything else paid for, including retirement accounts, etc., before I can think about sparklies! It is SOOOOO hard! I can only imagine how bad it would be if I didn't force myself to behave [most of the time tehe]. I'll second Nerida's point of PP being on the list. I think that would be a lot more fun than some of the shows - no rabid crowds of rude or clueless shoppers - just a small group of sparklie fans and maybe Octavia to make sure we all behave. Plus, I bet for a realllly sweet request and a drink or two on my tab, they might just let me try on that double strand of GSS's!!!

| Mikeyy You know...an alcoholic doesn't love any human as much as they love their bottle. Here, there is kindness, and great beauty. We rejoice in each others good fortune. No one hurts anyone (at least not on purpose) (see no denial her/but I believe that too). How can a pearl hurt anyone? Yeah okay, a little dent in the budget here and there. Sell the house. But, what the heck. I knew a guy in college who literally lived in his Porsche. It was a great car. This is like the alcoholic isn't it? The person who buys pearls even though it takes food out of the children's mouths. Who hides the purchases from the family and continues to buy even when the house payment is late. The person whose need to possess the pearls drives them to deny to themselves the damage they are doing to those who love and depend on them. But pearls require a little bit better lifestyle. Who knows anyone who wears an $80,000.00 strand of WSS's that lives under a bridge? In our society here, we encourage each other to be better. We look for the best that we can see in each other and show it to each other andthe best part is we all respond to this and try to be the best that we can be. barbie My advisor said that he thought certain aspects of pearling were too commercial for me to do my dissertation on. Maybe this is an area I could look in to. |

| It looks like Sept. I like the location. But I hadn't heard of it until today. I noticed a company I have dealt with before has a couple of booths. http://www.newayfairs.com/zij/index.htm |
