| We do not really carry a men's only bracelet in Tahitian, but we do sell a lot of the plain Tahitian bracelets to men. But the bracelet they featured in the Wall Street Journal was actually one we had done for a woman. http://www.pearlparadise.com/Tahitia...Bracelets.html

| Which one was that? Not the keshi? I'm just hoping the keshis catch on, they are less boring than the classics even though the classics will always be beautiful.

| It was the keshi/round bracelet. The picture is actually of this one. I am not sure why they decided this one should be for a man, but that was not my intention when I created it.

| Interesting. I remember seeing that one and thinking it was a very good combo with the "P". I'd have liked one with my bracelet but I think you probably didn't have spares. Actually, that color combinations not bad for a man. You don't have greyish blue ones, do you? I think that would be extremely striking as well. Seems to be the color of choice in male tahitian jewellery.

| I think the round/keshi bracelet would be terrific for a man. But, I'd lose the charm for a guy. Polished stainless steel has been big in men's bracelets. Can you alternate something like high-polish stainless steel hex nuts with the Tahitian pearls? That would be manly and hip at the same time! ![]()

| From a consumer perspective, I'm all over the idea of men wearing some pearl jewelry. I asked Kirstin at PearlParadise to select some baroque Tahitians for me with silver coloring for a bracelet. It came out great, in my opinion (I have pictures posted in "Show Us Your Pearls"). I also had a couple AAA Tahitian/leather chokers made and (a nod to the South Sea mention above) one with a champagne SS. I have quite enough to mix around now and don't have to wear ties as often! | I wear the Tahitian on leather every day in lieu of a tie. It is so much more comfortable. Just this week a group of friends met at our office right at closing to go out for sushi. We do this a couple times a month. We did not notice until at the restaurant, but every guy in the group was wearing a Tahitian on leather. Granted they were all earlier gifts from yours truly, but they had all just come from their offices.

| Did a poll at the office: "are pearls nice on men"? You should have been there... The results are, lets say 'difficult to convey', but I can tell you this: it makes great conversation in mixed company, for way longer then a coffee break! ![]() |

| If any of you watch the Weekend Today Show on NBC, they are going to feature our Tahitian on leather piece in a style segment for men tomorrow morning. The show is live, of course, so anything can happen. But they did give us the thumbs up today that it was going to happen tomorrow. I don't know if any of you follow politics much, but I was invited to private function at a house in the Palisades next week. Obama is going to be there and the party is in his honor, of course. My first instinct was that this is not really my thing. But then I thought, why not! Maybe we can get a Tahitian pearl on him! We put a strand of freshwater on Hillary in the Fall. ![]()

| I think a tahitian pearl on a leather cord is very fashion forward on men. It looks exotic, not mainstream, Kinda like the puca(sic) shells men used to wear. I see that my nephew has been wearing puca as of late. Maybe I can get him to start a trend of a tahitian in his age group (19). I bet if you can get a football or basketball player to wear one, it would be the latest trend. David Beckham doesn't count. |
