| Knotty- You're absolutely right about the twisting on the strand, and I have noticed the wear on the silk, but the look is so seamless I dub them: Worth It! As much as I like all the different variations on clasps I really do prefer an uninterrupted line of pearls...As far as drilling the pearls for the mystery clasps, you actually need to be able to drill the pearls at close to 2.5-3.0mm which is stressful on smaller pearl sizes. Really, I wouldn't go any smaller than the 9-10m. The threads are then epoxied into place...
