| Frankly I think an 11 or 12 mm pearl would be fine-especially if it were slightly button shaped like the top center so it would not stand up so high. Ashley knows what you want now. A slightly oval pearl 11-12 mm on the long side would work too, but I like the idea of a button pearl best. And please go for the orient. That makes a pearl look far more expensive- even like a top quality wild, natural pearl.

| Is there a possibility to get 2 small pearls (seed pearls) side by side with the larger pearl? Just a thought. Otherwise the space at the sides seems very natural to me - as the setting is shaped that way it has to be like this. Probably most rings with this shape would have 2 small diamonds or other gemstones on the side...

| Hi jerin! Honestly, I never once considered seed pearls or other gemstones. I knew it would be some kind of solitaire from the start, but I was always looking for how to keep the pearl safe knowing I knock my little solitaires off their posts. When Ashley showed me that setting, it was an instantaneous reaction! I knew it was perfect for *my pearl* Nestled down in there, yet so much of it would be visible. Now I am back where I was when I first posted... afraid I will not find my pearl! Re: the orient comments there was a LOT of orient and luster. They were amazing pearls. One pearl was nice and silver but way too small. One was too lavender, one was too pink ... opening the little cases, each one made me say Wow! but for a completely different reason. I'm not giving up on orient Caitlin, I'll know my pearl when I see it! I am just getting nervous over time now. It's only a month away! |

| Wow - that is gorgeous! A very nice fit between the pearl and the setting. Thanks for sharing with us.

| Rings which aren't set are something I have a very difficult time imagining. But either way, your ring is gorgeous and you couldn't go wrong. Very pretty.

| Oh, I'm so pleased that you found your pearl. It's beautiful, and so right for that setting. Congrats. Catahoula. It was well worth the wait..... ![]()
