Really? Out of all of them? If just the 4, I can see that.

I'd appreciate some of this certainty looking at the lot of 10 (if you were just looking at the 4?). I am very much appreciating the fresh eyes!!

(fyi, the 4 card is about a mm smaller than the 6 card)

I'm glad you are taking a good, long, look at buttons. That would have been my first and only choice. I think they have more natural attributes and personality by and large.

No - just of the 4. It would be good, honestly, to see all of the top picks together on the same background(s) and in a few ighting conditions. Funnily - I like the top left on the 6 and on the 4. For a ring, only my opinion, a smaller size could work well.

Maybe, put all of the finalists on the same card, and photograph that same ensemble 4 times, rotating the card 90 degrees between shots.

You could keep the lighting the same that way, and we might discover if position, relative to lighting, was affecting our choices. Just a thought.

Thank you for the suggestions! You all have helped me narrow my choices and I sincerely appreciate the help! I will post Ashely's photos of the finalists and I look forward to all of your (continuing) feedback

Heidi, size has been an issue for me from the start. I have three 6-7mm solitaires that I love, but I have knocked each and every one of them off the posts at one time or another. I chose this setting because of the deep basket, a good amount of the pearl would be protected and yet so much of it will be able to be seen

The butterflies are back (wheee!)

Again - all the good stuff happens whilst I am away. Reading through the thread, I was going for bottom left of the six, and top left of the four. Both beautiful pearls. Good luck with your selection, and congratulations!!

OK! Here are the pix on a neutral background, we can also see their shapes a lot better!!

After this elimination round they will be all in one shot, and hopefully we can get some perspective shots with the setting! None of these sweeties are drilled, so seeing them with the setting is going to have to get creative

So... Who's the fairest of them all? And again, thank you so much for the extra eyes! You don't know how helpful you have been!!

Bottom right for luster and shape. If you have your heart set on button shape, then top row, middle pearl. Just MHO.

Wow, great to see these from various angles and on the neutral background. Makes all the difference!!

I agree with Cathy: Top middle for luster and button shape (it's full without being too much so), bottom right for overall luster and a less buttony shape. Both have lovely overtones and luster.

That was my first choice also, but I wanted to wait for more experienced "pearlers" to weigh in.

If you cannot chose between two or three of them then I suggest you buy at least a couple, that way you will have your spare pearl ready to go when you need it without having to spend a long time choosing again. (if you can afford, of course)
